  1. More power to 'em. We've been down that road before and we all know the outcome.
  2. Don't you think those accidents are really designed to keep you tuning in to see how he breaks the next one? Sort of a trademark?
  3. I know what I'd LIKE to call them..... MINE!
  4. Some people have waaaaayy too much time on their hands
  5. I think I'd be inclined to throw a rope over a rafter, haul him up by that nipple ring, and leave him hang there for a while and ponder this whole situation. Darn sure I wouldn't be paying the fine for him. My daddy once told me if I ever ended up in jail, don't call him to bail me out. I'm pretty sure he meant it.
  6. Guess who won't be buying or attending any more Tom cruise movies. Is this guy the self appointed savior of the world or what?
  7. I say to the wife, "Do you care if I go fishing?" And if she says "no, I don't care", I leave on a good note. If she says "yes, I care" then I leave on a sour note. ;D Works well when I roll over close to her in the early morning and start to get "frisky". When she says, "I'm still tired", I respond, "Then I'm going fishing!" Works every time
  8. Thanks for the insight. My gut reaction was that this was probably the case but I thought I'd ask around to be sure.
  9. I received a solicitation in the mail today for this club. Dues seem reasonable enough, $1.00 per month, magazine, and the opportunity to occasionally test products, although I'm sure that's not going to happen too often. Anybody belong or know anything about the organization? Is it worth it or are they going to hound me for more money for things. Not just strictly bass related, from what I could tell.
  10. Moby, from Herman Melville's "MobyDick" implying large, very very large. Bass meaning...well, bass. Something I hope to catch someday. A very, very large bass.
  11. I NEVER get a flu shot and I never get the flu. Drink more whiskey. It may not prevent the flu but if you drink enough, you'll never know you have it. ;D ;D ;D
  12. A Muskie rod, and and Abu Garcia 5600. (Course, I bought them myself so I was assured of getting what I want.) Picked up an Avid AC66MF on sale and just ordered a Cabela's Prodigy to go with it. Christmas gifts to myself, what could be better?
  13. I can't wait for spring so I can try mine.
  14. MERRY CHRISTMAS HAPPY NEW YEAR Thanks guys, Moby
  15. I went to a doctor and a neurologist first, before I did anything else. In my case, the neurologist didn't have a clue as to what was wrong. His words were "It will probably clear up" You have no idea how bad I was, I couldn't even stand up. When I turned my head to look at something, my eyes would follow later. I have never experienced anything like that in my life. You would be amazed at how a small misalignment of bones will cause all sorts of problems. And the longer it goes, the more difficult to fix. I have some calcium in my neck because of a motorcycle accident years ago and my failure to realign those bones caused them to compensate and form deposits. Muscles have a funny way of adjusting when things are out of place and eventually the pain stops and you think everything is ok, but its not.
  16. At the risk of being ridiculed, shot down, boiled in oil, and so on, I am going to suggest a chiropractor, and before you all jump all over me, let me explain a few things. I am not talking about some of the fly by night quacks. Do your research, find a competent one. I once had a severe issue with my neck that was so bad I was dizzy, nauseas, couldn't even stand up. I spent 2 days in the hospital, MRIs' Cat Scans, neurologist, nobody could find anything wrong. My chiropractor determined my neck was out of place and in a week had me completely back to normal. My son was plagued with constant ear infections when he was young. We did the anti-biotics, tubes, everything. Nothing worked until the chiropractor explained why ear infections occurred and how I could prevent them. It worked, he never had another infection. Took my daughter when she was only several months old for maintenance adjustments and she is very rarely ever ill. They may not be for everyone, but I sure believe in them. Now... fire away
  17. I too am hoping to try some Muskie fishing next year and as such I picked up a Gander Mountain Advantage Muskie rod, 7' MH when it was on sale for $30, regularly $50. I have not used it yet. Seemed like a decent rod for the price, especially since I don't know how much Muskie fishing I'll actually do. 2 year warranty is a good plus. I plan to pare it with a Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5600. I notice Gander Mountain also has their own Guide Series Pike rod. Runs about $70.00 but is on sale at 25% off as are all GM rods right now.
  18. I may have to consider one of these as well. Have been looking for something to put on my new Avid. The written reviews seem to recommend it.

Working very well for this firefox user. Thanks!
  21. I noticed a bent guide on one of my newer rods and I don't know whether it came that way and I just missed it or if I accidently bent it. I carefully straightened it and now 2 months later, I can neither remember which guide or which rod. If it isn't too bad, I'd probably just straighten it. I hate to go through the hassle of sending something back if its very minor and I can fix it.
