  1. its a special shallow bottle
  2. im curious what the grip on that looks like. sounds like it has a weird balance.
  3. go to the regular clearance section then scroll all the way down. the used items are listed with descriptions but no pictures. on mobile you have to expand the Clearance Used Items section. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/liquidation.html
  4. I wasn't very fond of the medium power Tatula spinning bass rod. I kinda expected an awesome light-weight under $200 rod, but it was really tip heavy and not what I like in a spinning rod. Not sure if all the models are like that, but that one sure was. Replaced it with an Expride B spinning rod and all is well in the world again.
  5. If you reach for your mojo bass 90% of the time for whatever multiple techniques you use, maybe you should get the NRX that can take over for your favorite, most used technique and let the mojo bass keep handling the rest. If you just want to replace the mojo bass with a higher end versatile rod, you cant go wrong with an NRX MBR. I am a Dobyns guy, but I do have a 843 MBR. Its worth the money, but I still reach for my Dobyns more often, especially for moving baits.
  6. I had a 7'7 MH for a bit and at the time I liked it because it was the lightest thing I ever held. A year later Dobyns had a super sale and I tried a 734C and never looked back. The 7'7 MH feather was noticeably more tip heavy (had this opinion even before I picked up a Dobyns) and fished like a medium to me. Maybe the shorter versions balance better, but I'm not curious enough to try one out again.
  7. The streets didnt teach me much, but they did teach me that an eighth of an ounce is 3.5 grams.
  8. Shimano made them both red and black for a reason!
  9. Im not familiar with the GL3's tier level, but if a Mojo is a better rod than it, there has to be a bunch of rods in the $200 range to choose from.
  10. Lews LFS have deeper spools than Shimano 150s and are about the same size. I was transferring 30lb pp from a Tournament MB and filled up an SLX XT completely way before the Lews spool was empty.
  11. I dont know why, but when I cast mono or copoly into the wind, my spool blows up way more than when braid is on it. Not saying the braid doesn't blow up at all, but its not as visually dramatic as it is with mono. The spool spins the same speed with both types of lines (assuming) so maybe the lures can travel faster with the lower air resistance of the braid, so the line comes off the spool faster and lessens the overrun compared to the nylon lines coming off slower.
  12. I used to have a Penn Fierce Gen 1 2000 size that was perfect. It had a long handle like the 2500/3000, was easy to clean, and balanced perfect with the Shimano Clarus bass rod it was mounted to. I stupidly sold it to upgrade and havent been happy with its replacements since. I'd go with a new Penn Fierce, but they weigh over 9 oz.
  13. I want to get a cheap (under $50) lightweight (under 8oz) spinning reel that can survive saltwater/surf fishing with basic maintenance, but most cheap reels I've been interested in in the 2500/3000 size seem to weigh over 9oz. The target species for this combo doesn't really require much line. I don't mind a 1000 size reel to keep the weight down, but I don't like the short shaft of the handles on them. Can I put a 2500 sized reel handle on a 1000 sized spinning reel? Anyone done this and experienced any issues? I am particularly looking at a Shimano Sienna 1000 or Diawa Laguna LT 2000.
  14. I'm curious to know if the expride ml can comfortably handle above it's rating also. I picked up the medium because I wasn't sure.
  15. Just buy it at Tacklewarehouse. Its not that hard to find $43 worth of other stuff that you "need" I just bought some U-40 along $43 worth of jigs and lures to add to the $200 worth of jigs and lures sitting in their unopened packages in my garage
  16. I hope this doesn't derail this thread. For those that moved from power pro to 832, was either of them noticeably more sensitive? I am thinking of switching to 832 because I read that its a sinking braid, which makes me think I will have better contact with my lure than power pro, which floats on the water surface, especially on long casts.
  17. I assume by the tier of the spinning rods, you dont use them too often. If you dont know what holes you need to fill in your casting arsenal, maybe just upgrade your spinning rods?
  18. the reviews for those rods arent very positive
  19. i think its a matter of line capacity between the 150 and 200 curado dc
  20. I'm not familiar with the baits you listed so I'm curious, are you talking lighter weight, or lighter power than what you currently have?
  21. You can usually find a better "deal" when shopping for a used lews, if comparing to the price of a brand new item. Used shimano and daiwas I imagine cost similar to a new one if buying straight from Japan, unless you are asking less than 50% off MSRP.
  22. Are the mag brakes all the way down? I was confused at first by the markings for max vs free.
