  1. Covid is still getting the blame for everything and it's honestly beyond me. From companies blaming Covid for a lack of products to people blaming Covid for not working, still.
  2. You're going to want the 25 size. Trust me. Anything less is L to UL territory for panfish. It will handle bass but so will a Barbie spincast reel. You'll be much happier with a 25. Most opt for a size 30.
  3. Lews won't stop this.
  4. The problem with having no industry standard is that it's almost impossible to try the product on before you buy it. So much of bass fishing gear is a blind purchase. This is why I stick to primarily Dobyns. I know exactly what I'm getting.
  5. Color choice based on sunny vs cloudy has literally never mattered for me.
  6. Fury 703c or 734c is perfect for these applications. It's what I use.
  7. If I lost all my rods and reels today, I would buy 5 Aird-X casting rods, 2 Aird-X spinning rods, 5 Black Max casting reels, and 2 Trion spinning reels and call it good.
  8. Unless the pay raise is significant, I always choose the best schedule for me, my kids, and my fiance. My son lives with me, and I get my daughters every other weekend. I work Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 6pm-4:30am. This works out for my girls because I'll always be available to have them Friday evening to Sunday evening on my weekends. It works out for my fiance because she also has Thursday off. It works out for me because I get the best days of the week off. It works out for my son because I get 3 entire days off with him. So I guess my point is, if the pay raise is significant (whatever significant means to you), it's something to consider. If not, absolutely keep the schedule that makes you and those in your life happier.
  9. I'm most happy with rods and reels between $120~ and $150~. Enough quality, enough sensitivity, enough longevity, without getting too ridiculous on price.

Try "pop" or "yo-yo" swimming it on a medium retrieve if you haven't. They can't resist.
  11. Ned Rig by far
  12. Whether someone's budget is an Aird-X or an MBR, it's none of our business. To your point, a Senko can be fished on the cheapest Walmart rod one can find, but the thing about a Senko is how hard it can be to feel the bite sometimes. The Senko might very well be the bass bait responsible for most gut hooks. A higher end rod certainly helps here.
  13. He just uploaded again and he's crying again about haters. You can't make this stuff up.
  14. Grubs and 3" Senkos
  15. An Aird-X and skipping fast food once to cover the difference will make you so much happier.
  16. He's always crying. I've never seen anyone have a problem with his ideas and opinions. He always rightfully gets criticized for being the world's oldest infant. He loves being a victim.
  17. No because my one fishing buddy has basically everything I have. It's not my fault that he does something different (whatever different is) that results in less fish.
  18. Can it be your dream rod if you haven't used it?
  19. The modern Berkley Lightning rods are garbage. I bought one last summer for chatterbaits when my daughter broke my chatterbait rod and everything else was out of stock due to Covid and the influx of new or returning anglers. The plastic reel seat shattered on a hook set. I returned it for a replacement and then the replacement rod had the reel seat crack on a cast. That's why people spend a little more for rods that don't require too much sensitivity.
  20. Randy also loves being a victim. I've lost count of how many videos he's uploaded about being "screwed".
  21. He can be a cry baby.
  22. A simple fix is a leash, but you lost me at outdoor dogs because of how much I hate that.
  23. Actually, when fished properly, a hard bait will certainly eventually be snagged and lost and cost not just more up front, but more to lose. A hard bait fished as you described is scared fishing in places that aren't bassy and result in much fewer bites. It hurts a lot less to lose a soft plastic. The exception is hard top waters. I really have no idea what you're talking about honestly.
