you all tapped into my paranoid side. I called the lady that helped me with my PP renewal. she said that they are asked to tell everyone 8-9 weeks for a renewal. with the $60 added expedite fee that drops the timeline to 5 weeks. she then said that they are much faster now. my coworker just got his in 8 weeks. she said my Oct trip is well within the comfort zone of everyone in her office. she said, "no problems"

i have a similar lake. bigger than yours. easy kayak launch, decent population of bass. i re-learned how to fish (on a kayak) on this lake. deepest water is about 24 feet deep. interesting lake. it was owned by a Japanese family and they lost it during the internment camp times. it became a public park. it is next to a golf course. about 7 minutes from my home. big difference? it gets slammed. lots of kayakers. guys i think are more afraid of big waters. this lake is a security blanket for a lot of guys. i'm hoping to check it out tomorrow. weekdays are nice and quiet.

I have been fairly successful with the MagDraft Freestyle. from memory, I think I use the 6/0Beast hook. I didnt want to go too big because the bait shimmies almost down the entire length.. even the shoulders seem to wag. I felt a big hook would limit the undulation. when a 6lb bass grabbed it; I was almost in disbelief. I was shocked.

IMHO, there is no way to handle our waste in our industrial world. in my college wastewater class, there was a phrase we were taught. "the best solution to pollution is dilution". we have been diluting waste into our water d**n near forever. I love fish, but I limit my consumption personally. I do realize we aint making more water, so the solution has to be getting richer with respect to pollution.

the numbers look good. 55lb seems like something I can hork over my head and walk down a trail. not sure about standing in a 33" wide boat. I stood in my friends Native 10.5 and it was fine, but I think it is wider than 33.

I have a 30 year old Bazuka tube. still going strong. I have not traveled with it on a plane for a long time, but I did strap it to a pack mule recently. the mule hated it until we stuffed it with some t-shirts to stifle the noise from the rods bouncing about. now, I am over it. I will buy great travel rods.

understood. MSG has been made for a century. just a derivative of natural glutamates. I have a tiny tube of it that I never use. maybe if I am making sauces.

I never/rarely buy premixed seasonings. However my brother found me this. We use it at deer-camp to streamline packing stuff. It is all but impossible to find where I live. My brother can buy it at Walmart in Texas all day long. not counting herb de Provence or five spice powder I believe this is my only pre/mix. It’s so dang good. Basically salt and garlic powder. I just made chicken tacos and they were legit. Heads up. If you see this , try it. It’s almost pixie dust.

to be clear. (pun?) I am talking about brand new silty water. day after major storms. I kinda think every real earthworm in the watershed is washed into the lake and feeding the fish. and the water had to be difficult to breath. grit in gills can't be a good time. I have done okay in water that is very muddy looking, but it is old silt. new silt befuddles me.

mine is in a heavy duty ziplock baggie. cheap, works. I will get a new baggie this season. I know from experience the pink will fade from a bone colored kayak in about 4 months. I think the sunlight bleaches it out. I had an "incident" the first time I used it.

its MOST countries. all the ones I've been to have been this way. makes it like your expiration date means very little. and USpassports are typically renewed when they are 6 months from expiring. mentally, you should do it at 9 months.

8th grade. I punched the guy and I felt like a barely registered. he didnt even react. I had to change tactics and take it to a ground game. I actually won...purely out of fear. I'm of Chinese decent. Texas born. people picked on me because of the lunches I was packed, my appearance, whatever. just once, I had had enough. my mom didnt do me any favors sending me to school lunch room with chopsticks. hahahha... my big takeaway was that I didnt know how to throw a punch. I had nothing behind it.
