Do you have a kayak with a bottom rudder, and do you use your truck bed to haul it?
I've never paid attention, but Greg Blanchard is taking his Native on/off his truck all the time. you ever watch one of his videos?. I can't remember which end he sets on the ground coming out of the truck. I think it is the tail end. and he upgrades his rudder to the bigger aftermarket one.

Cologne
I love the smell of new tires in a tire shop. The other two are awesome too. Spent shotgun shells are a great memory smell.

If you see a health concern on a total stranger. You saying something?
It’s official. You all can take any topic and run wild with it. End experiment. Haha.

Dirty - Cold water. no fish.
i woke up to seeing stars poking thru the dark morning sky. i walked out into my driveway, and saw no rain (with my untrained eyes) i went in and woke my wife up. "i'm gonna go fishing for a little bit". i took a chance and hit a remote spot. i risked downed trees and a very difficult u-turn on a tiny, narrow twisty road. whatever. i got there and a ramp i am usually see 300 yards from the water's edge was in the water!! the lake truly came up 60+ feet. i launched my kayak. super windy, the water was nasty. if i put my hand into the lake and scooped up a handful, it was full of grit. i imagine it is like us in a heavy duststorm. eating isnt a priority. i know where the trees are, becasue they are typically sticking way up. nope. all underwater. miracle, but i didnt lose my jig at all. i thru it to the trees and there were some close calls, but i got the jig back everytime. i stayed out 5 hours until i felt the wind approach "dangerous" and i went back in. happy to be out. no jerkbait, jig, dropshot, a-rig, tex-rig, lipless love at all. (rain tomorrow)

If you see a health concern on a total stranger. You saying something?
Hypothetically. Say a guy posts up a pic of his favorite wrist watch. And next to the fancy time piece, you see a large raised, blue/black mole. You saying anything? sorry I might be suffering from cabin fever. I had a total stranger tell me my constant small cough might be cancer. I had my doc scan my lungs. She determined it was asthma. Oddly, that’s how the doc found my stepdad’s lung cancer. Same nagging cough.

If Find it hard to imagine a kayak designer drafting up a boat that can’t lay flat on a surface because the rudder stands proud of the bottom. my friend throws his Native into the back of his box van. Tail in first.

Berkley pit boss
I need to streamline my creature baits like I did my worms. Get it down to two. I’m all over the place. Maybe three. The new PittBoss. I should try it. I do punch with the Palmetto Bug because it is so tough.

Living with regret......
I have regrets. I used to let them bother me. Now, not so much. They are more “life lessons”. My regrets now? More financial. Like why did I not buy Apple Stock instead of the vintage FJ40. Or why didn’t I start saving for retirement earlier. Stuff I still “feel” on a day to day basis. Stuff I can’t say “I’m playing the hand I was dealt”. Haha. I hit on 17 way too many times. And I’m paying to catch up. But. Whatever. I’ll retire at 63 instead of 55. Wah.

I am happy the lakes appear to be filling up somewhat.
I should change the title of my thread. Looks like my local big lake is full. Could make a big impact on my spring time gasoline bill. I might not have to drive so far to find big waters. thanks to Mom Nature. Such a fickle thing. I remember when the section of bay bridge failed. The headlines was. “Bay Bridge Collapse!” I suppose boring news won’t sell.

Fishing kayak worth it?
Nice. Don’t fall out while under power. That thing will leave you in a hurry. My friend has that setup and the lack of a kill switch lanyard isn’t great.

I am happy the lakes appear to be filling up somewhat.
Haha. Yea I see the news and I think I’m gonna die. Thanks for asking bud. while I feel awful and sympathetic to those that are feeling the full brunt of this storm, it’s just been rain for me. More work due to damage, but at least I’m working.

Clearlake came up 6 feet!

Some. Not great. They could use 60 more feet to get to 2020 levels.

Install trolling motor on kayak?
G. does that kayak have the four threaded inserts in the back for a powerpole? if so, you can use a torqueedo type..or the newport vessels version.
