the thermometer is way off. just an entry level Hook Revel-5. simple. I can still see time, depth. my friend can park over a bush with his updated unit and say, "hey, I see a bush!". I can grab the side of his kayak and lock to him and I dont see the bush. hahah. while I troubleshoot...could be my weakening batteries, to anything at this point. it can still show the occasional blip on the bottom. hahhah. but I can still find fish. I just cast to usual suspects for the season. I assume winter is the most challenging and a good fish-finder is really appreciated. but spring summer, I know the haunts. shoreline, mats, etc. what was it like when there was only old school fish finders..or none? there were no winter giants taken? I will buy a new fish finder later, maybe next year. I have spent enough (for fishing) this year, and it is only Feb. I know I will have fun and success this spring and summer at least.

Didnt some pro fisherman get busted snagging them? he became pigeon-holed with it. now I occasionally watch a fishing video and if a fish is snagged (Say on a) with a jerk bait..they joke. "hey, you John Doe'd it!". (forget the name) however..that is a GIANT bass. even the eyeballs are huge!

All my friends are sick except one. And he said, “Clearlake?” Sure. Communication breakdown resulted in us pulling into launch points opposite the lake from each other. ( he is still apologizing!). Whatever. I wasn’t mad in the least and got good intel while I was waiting. I put everything back into my truck and went to him. It felt like better odds. soooo late start and the fishing was ugly. I caught a glimpse of my sonar and notice something fishy in the bushes. Sent in a drop shot probe. Whoa!!! Neither of us skunked!!! i actually got two. but #1 made my day. Water was 48 deg and dingy.

Great idea. I’m gonna test run my new walking top water next week.

i've dipped my toe in the MegaBass rods. but i am enter this pool of madness slowly. really slow. i imagine it is like flying 1st-class. it would be difficult to got back to the coach-seats afterwards.

i am in Construction, so i have to be at the office a lot. i wish i had bass at work.

yea. i never understood those guys at the store doing that teeter totter balance thing with a rod. most times it doenst even have the reel on it. much less the line and lure. same goes for kitchen knives.

i live in California and Jan and Feb sucks for bass fishing. i cant imagine how cold it is where you are. kudos for taking a swing at it. strong work.

that happened to me. my fish was about 13" long and it had FOUR Senkos in it's mouth and gullet. i pulled what i could and let it go.

i have a couple of ponds in our office complex. sadly they appear bass-less. i have tried a few times with small walking baits and i dont even get followers. the water is clear now and i walked the banks looking for life. NADA! total bummer, since a small bass pond would vastly improve my lunch hour. ha! you office folks. do you have an office complex pond or lake?

i think i have one single "short" posted. pretty much, its a fact that only me and my wife have seen it. hahahha..i put it up just to see how you even post a vid.

i do know after watching copoius videos that i work my V110 too hard. probably explains why i have marginal successes.

my friends Hobie Compass has the reverse on one of the pedal drives. i think you typically put it in the rear port. his other drive is non-reversable, and not the turbo drive. it has rails for accessories and two compartments in the floor. not a bad fishing platform. they usually float and drown worms for trout in the thing. and trolling.

i kinda think the mom/pops shops that have a robust online presence have a crack at it. i would do some online-orders if i could. but i am not a business major and would probably sink the ship. and show of hands - who else thinks Deleted Account should be a motivational speaker :D?? (but i think he knows his S. this is gonna a tough)

yea. it will get better as it learns. right up until we try to blacken out the sun to shut off their power.

i love this dudes vids. mainly because i am way over on the left side of the country and i am facinated by his fisheries/scenery. what drives me nuts is that dude NEVER wears a PFD. he has a lot of followers, LOTS!!.. so you could draw the line that he is an influencer in the sport. he can really use his power for good and get some holdouts into a PFD. on the bright-side, he is by far the most gentle and respectful fish releaser ever. he never tosses them from a great height. just a quick and easy release. he influenced the way i let them go as well.

i didnt buy any, but that recent MegaBass Respect color where it is RED/WHITE is sick.

my friend has the Compass Duo. he takes his brother out for trout and he says it is awesome. when i met him, he was fishing solo out of it and it was super spacious. now he has a ProAngler and we dont see the Compass often anymore. it is LONG!!! and putting it in the back of his full size truck requires a bed extender. he uses the inxpensive one from HarborF. it is slower than my outback. only one of the pedal drives is the Turbo version. but even then, it is kinda slow.

there is a new Dawia coming out that is way over the top. it has mechanisms that measure the speed of your cast and adjusts. it sends the data to your smart phone!! it has electronic brakes that halts the cast taking all the data it just collected from your swing. crazy. bluetooth!! i bet it has the T-wing. heheh.. but there are innovations. big expensive ones. $1500 is the rumor.

i hope he kicks butt in business!!
