  1. Might be skipping school for prefishing next weekend. My mom wasn’t all to happy about the idea, so we’ll see...
  2. I’ve got a spool of Bass Pro XPS mono, this is my favorite mono. Super strong, caught big fish on it, and 1200 yards is $12.
  3. I think it is supposed to look like a worm. More like a cranefly larvae
  4. You’re looking at two different rods, unless you are using big diameter hooked crankbaits, and smaller diameter hooked chatterbaits. If I was doing this^, I go with a MH that has a little more tip than usually. Or throw it on a MH with 14 pound mono. Loosen the drag with the crankbaits, and tighten it up for the chatterbait.
  5. He seems like really cool guy!
  6. Psst, don’t tell anyone... Jerk UP, supposed to work best with braid!
  7. 6”10’ M Lite G loomis NRX+, Shimano Curado DC, spooled with 12(Normally 10, but just to be safe) pound Seaguar Fluoro, Megabass Vision 110, Table Rock Special. Good Luck with your braid in just above freezing water. Hope you like ice on your line! ?
  8. Great Job! Seems like fishing community watches out for each other pretty well. We had our boat break down(bad battery), the morning of a tourney, and were able to get it fixed with the help of a bunch of other people we were fishing against.
  9. This was a jig fish from the shore, two summers ago: Ballhead, finesse jigs work best for bank fishing IMHO. Love a Yum craw chunk on the back of them. Bluebass86 makes a great one. Threw a jerkbait all day this spring, sore forearms and a couple blisters. I put big baits since I don’t have a ton of experience with them. @BoatSquirrel has been helping me with that though! X2
  10. x2, by at least a couple pounds. Joe Cermele, of meateater and field and stream, does a lot of snakehead fish, and even the little ones he says are 5 pounds.
  11. Thank you Glenn! Bass Talk Live explained it best, for me at least. Most "fishing" youtubers aren't good anglers, they are in fact, good entertainers.
  12. Sorry for your loss... I know I've posted this somewhere before, but...
  13. I know it, just want to help other people get as many fish in the boat as possible!?
  14. The reason for fluoro: Braid has NO stretch. Throwing fluoro allows you to let the fish eat the bait, and not rip it away from them. Start the video at 2:20, Gman explains it better than me. He is one of the best buzzbait fisherman IMO.
  15. From what I understand of what Glenn has posted it seems that no amount of money or medicine is going to save Aaron now. Only thing you can do is send thoughts and pray for a miracle, which is what they're asking for.
  16. Reel with your rod tip UP. Might want to go to a 1/4-3/8 ounce buzzbait. I throw a trailer on mine, helps me keep it up on the surface. I use 15 pound fluoro, it sinks but when you've got your rod tip up and most of the line off the water it doesn't matter. With fluoro, you won't rip the bait away. If i'm fishing such thick cover that I would need braid, I'm throwing a frog. As soon as the bait hits the water and even before it hits, I'm reeling.
  17. I pretty much use my thumb at the end of my cast. Other than that it's mostly brakes. It's a combination of the two that allows for birdsnest free cast. If I feel like I'm not getting my max distance with a bait, I loosen my brakes. When I loosen my brakes I'm sure to use my thumb a little more at the end of the cast. If I'm backlashing a lot, I'll tighten my brakes up. Different weights of baits need different brake settings.

  19. Once a youtuber passes a 1 thousand subs, advertisements start getting played before their videos, and they make money that way. This is how it's been explained to me. They also make money by sponsored videos, and products they represent in their videos. You can make a ton of money off of youtube if you do it well and people like what they're watching.
  20. 39 degrees this morning
