  1. Is that a Black Viper Vision 110?
  2. Buy with confidence. I get more bites with the Nanahan vs Vision. And yeah, I'd go with the +1 or +2.
  3. Same, I want no internet record of my stupidity.
  4. I've been playing with that Evoke 4.0 this fall. They are pretty cool, got to have the right gear to throw it, crazy vibration.
  5. Matt Allen literally just did a video on this subject. He of course is an Owner guy, so he suggested Owner ST-38 ZoWire no. 6s.
  6. @SKFishing The 73 is perfect for squarebills, it has a shorter handle so you can target cast at shallow cover, the length however is perfect for your medium divers. I’d say 3/8 oz is the lowest I’d go on it, so no 1.0 sized squarebills, but your 1.5s and up are good.
  7. Hook Up Tackle is having a Veteran’s Day sale. Code USA for 15% off. Same as Omnia, no Megabass, Daiwa, Shimano…
  8. It's basically fishing a Vision 110 in a tiny body. Has that same great action.
  9. X2 on Nanahans. I really like the +1s. It's a Vision 110 Mini-Me. They also sell +2s if you need it to get down further, but I find the 1s are just fine, you can downsize line if you need it to get down further. Sound like you'll not need that much depth on Table Rock anyway.
  10. Find a quality independent lure maker and ask them to build you a few. You'll get to customize the colors and everything. Money goes to an individual vs. a giant company. Just another angle to look at...
  11. I have to add one more suggestion, April - October , a swimming worm, like a Zoom UltraVibe Speed worm, Strike King Cut-R-Worm or the Gambler version. That was a numbers and size lure for me. October - April, What Tom said, the original floater, or some type of floating or super shallow running jerkbait. Unless you have murky water conditions. Then I'd go with a bladed jig. Good luck.
  12. If you’re into spinning, the Whipsnake is a fun rod. You can use it was a Ned and Drop shot rod, as well as small jerks, small cranks etc.
  13. Forgive my ignorance, do the 5” spark shad and the magdraft have that big a difference in action? I guess you do get the magnet and treble harness deal with the magdraft…
  14. JDM Mets are 70 sized are they not? Something to think about if you're wanting a 150.
  15. Bingo, Little George style baits for the win. Especially if you have a touch of stain in the water. This weekend I could only get bit on a Jackall Deracoup (Lil George) and a JDM 1/4 oz crankbait called a BottomUp Reazzy. One other good one folks in a Lucky Craft 0.5. Especially if you're fishing skinny water with hard cover.
  16. Megabass Valkyrie 71MH for 1/2-1oz Megabass Tomahawk F4-71T for 3/8 -5/8 oz. Or if you want a lighter, longer more affordable option. Daiwa Rebellion 73MH Glass. I use CoPoly or Fluoro.
  17. I think we've all been hitting the JDM Monkey pretty hard as most of these places are really low on stock now. At least the stuff I've been looking at.
  18. I gave this a second thought. The deeper than 10 foot deal is only 80-90 percent of the time crank baits for me. If you get the chance and have the rod to handle it, get yourself an 1oz - 1.5oz chatter and fish it deep. Good stuff.
  19. 100 percent. This is how I operate.
  20. Hey Fishtank, did you find the HD balanced well with the Super Destroyer? I kept going back and forth on going with that one or just grab a used Steez A on my Madbull. Look for some JDM Monkey posts coming soon... the sickness is real.
  21. Daiwa on a Shimano rod? Blasphemy! I just got a Conquest 905 and I plan to pair it with a new 22 Bantam. Those things are tanks and are smooth casters. Super versatile too. I’ll report back after time on the water. They also make a Monster Gear version of the Antares DC. I didn’t go there, but it’s an option.
