  1. I’ve had really fun days sitting super shallow (basically beaching the boat) on rocky points, firing out my favorite lure, a compact 1/2oz tungsten football jig into deep water. Letting it hit bottom and dragging/small hopping up hill. This of course is on my gravel bottom ozark lakes that have multi bass species. Your grassy/muddy muck bottomed ponds, I’d rather throw at a 45 degree angle from the bank with moving baits or weightless plastics.
  2. That’s the only way I’ve ever had bites on a tube. Dead sticking.
  3. I don’t have one, but these got really good reviews when it came out. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Lews_Laser_MG_Speed_Spool_SLP_Casting_Reel/descpage-LSLP.html
  4. Look at SPRO Little John MDs. Use 10lb line and you’ll hit 7-9. If you’re into the whole Red lure thing they have a nice transparent red variation. Cell Mate gets bit too.
  5. I had way more bites on a jig last year when using stick baits, Ned’s, straight tail worms as trailers vs craw type and double tail grubs. Probably 2-1.
  6. The old ones did indeed have SiC guides. Not sure if they’re the exact same guides, but they’re both SiC.
  7. Another fellow Missouri angler here. If you fish places like Stockton (clearer water), I've seen compact rubber football jigs get gobbled up by all 3 bass species. In short, I'm a fan. @Siebert Outdoors If you decide to go that route, I'd be glad to order a few.
  8. Speaking of that style of handle, any of you believe that leads to 30 percent more sensitivity, like their marketing blurb says? Anyone have the old Zodias and the try the new ones and say, thank god I switched over to the new ones? So, if it’s not a noticeable difference in sensitivity, doubt I’ll mess with the new ones, unless I add a new rod length, power later down the line.
  9. If you moved you’d have to change your handle to SouthernBasser! ?
  10. I just poked around the internet to see who still had the old ones in stock. A lot of places are sold out. So it’ll be a challenge to get certain models on sale, whenever that happens. The hook up tackle already put theirs on sale. Only 3 models left. If anyone needs a crazy good chatterbait rod, the 72 mh glass was 220.
  11. Have you used that MH for spinnerbaits? Would it handle a 1/2oz spinnerbait?
  12. Shoot that’s weird. No discount on spark shads in my cart. What gives? Ah. After double check, my eyes deceive me. They’re discounted. Carry on, I’m wrong. Order all the megabass folks!
  13. New for me, when the water warms up I'm going to try the Keitech Mad Wag Worm. They look like they'd have some fun action to them. I love me some Keitech plastics.
  14. Are you fishing them like a Damiki rig? Sorry all, I know this question isn’t about showing off what I just bought. Just curious how you’re using them.
  15. Anyone win the Rico blems from TW?
  16. Bass Patrol. They’re cheap.
  17. Just the opposite, I thought Daiichi hooks were too nice of hooks for a stock hook. It's a selling point for me.
  18. I was checking out those 3DR lipless cranks on TW. One of the comments mentioned the hooks are Daiichi hooks. Anyone know if all YoZuri lures use Daiichi? Or if that dude was full of it?
  19. I suppose it would be a shad rap. 4 season lure, multi species lure. All sizes of fish lure.
  20. Lucky Craft 1.5. Caught a 6 1/4 lb. in late summer when they were busting shad in the flats. Love this color, was a hot lure for a couple months.
  21. Those new Maxscent Lil’ Troopers look like a nice little snack for bass.

Hmmm. I’ll just tell you what caught my 5 biggest bass this year. 1 - Late August, Fish chasing shad in the flats - LC 1.5 Silent Squarebill (CF Flake Flake Chartreuse Shad) 2. - May, during the spawn - Jackal Ganterel Jr. - (Scale Gill) 3. - First week of January Dragging Main Lake Points - Missle Baits Head Banger Football Jig - (Bruised) - ZMan Batwings (Black Blue) 4 - May, during the spawn - Netbait T-Mac (Bama Bug) - on a rig that has a swivel with flouro leader, bent size 2 finesse hook. I don’t know the name of this rig, bit it makes your trick worm do a crazy spinning dance under the surface. Bass hate that thing. 5 - Heat of July, pitching in Lilly pads - Gambler Burner Worm - (Junebug) Award for hottest lure for one day. Evergreen Showerblows - 105 - ( Half Mirror Wakasagi) Schoolers could not leave this alone. Most fun topwater action I’ve had!
  23. X3 on the Gambler. XZone Swammers and R2S DWalker for over exaggerated roll and RI Dippers if you want a tight shimmy. I’ve tried menaces and pit bosses. My fish don’t seem to react the same to them as the paddle tails.
