  1. make an endless supply of zoom super chunks, maybe carve out the mold a little to create bigger body for threading on the hook
  2. one of the best baits for a shaky head
  3. while i definitely agree with the idea (my uncle actually does something extremely similar and kills in the winter), i would still consider it a Neko rig, just downsized now if we put a ned head with the hook tip cut off on the bottom of that lure...
  4. uni uni is my mono/mono or fluoro knot (also my mono backing/braid main knot) alberto is my braid/mono or fluoro knot
  5. hmm, yes, it appears the dock is indeed made of dock
  6. white (with chartreuse cuz you just have to) stands out so well in green pond water, my first 8 years of bass fishing as a kid were with a white and chartreuse spinnerbait in a pond with only bluegills and crappies
  7. i use lead because it's definitely worth it for my wallet
  8. sounds like a job for a siebert sniper jig, you can also take advantage of their sale right now for their blemished versions
  9. im definitely a shimano guy now, but i still use my lews speed spin 300 more than any of my shimano spinning reels, i think if i wasnt such a shimano fan, lews would be my second pick for both baitcaster and spinning
  10. i dont care about gear ratios, as long as its a 7 speed
  11. rage menace zoom zcraw (also jr) sometimes paddletails i like trailers that create a lot of drag for the jig, allows me to keep it in the strike zone longer by shaking the rod tip
  12. dont throw out the tube just yet, the extra fast tip screams for a texas rig or tube, you can use any lures that fit the labeled weight range
  13. Stick worms tend to be less itchy
  14. Yes. Jigs, but the easiest will always be a worm or stickbait. Anywhere I can't pitch or cast under.
  15. swim jigs are designed to come through grass and move fast, you dont need a stiff guard for grass, since grass is much softer, and a stiff weedguard could prevent a hookup at that speed also, there is nothing wrong with pitching a flipping/finesse jig in heavy cover (tree roots, bushes) and swimming it out
  16. for my first 5 years of bass fishing, i only used a spinnerbait, bump it into everything possible, crank parallel to the bank
  17. Here i am! never caught a bass on a lipless either, not to mention the countless trebled topwaters i have had no success with
  18. i have never straightened out a single hook, even a 2/0 ewg gamakatsu, i have straightened light wire trebles thou
  19. i use whats in between: Moderate Fast action, paired with stretchy mono
  20. 5/16 Siebert Sniper Jig with a Zoom Z Craw
  21. 3/8 finesse jig with a GG Bandito Bug, on a $40 graphite reel and $50 13 fishinf MH/F rod, felt the entire setup twist on the hookset 6 lbs 3 oz Happy New Year!
  22. not sure, but a lot of my trailers are 4 inches, then i bite 1/2 an inch off the top
  23. S-Defender 4.5" Multi-Jointed Jerkbait?
  24. last year was finesse jigs, this year was finesse jigs
  25. I had the same thing happen with my setup, dead of winter, my 9ft surf rod, 50 lb braid to 100 lb leader, bluegill must have broke me off or something...
