Introducing : The "Ned Neko"
while i definitely agree with the idea (my uncle actually does something extremely similar and kills in the winter), i would still consider it a Neko rig, just downsized now if we put a ned head with the hook tip cut off on the bottom of that lure...

White Spinnerbaits
white (with chartreuse cuz you just have to) stands out so well in green pond water, my first 8 years of bass fishing as a kid were with a white and chartreuse spinnerbait in a pond with only bluegills and crappies

Calling all Lews Spinning Reel users
im definitely a shimano guy now, but i still use my lews speed spin 300 more than any of my shimano spinning reels, i think if i wasnt such a shimano fan, lews would be my second pick for both baitcaster and spinning

a few SwimJigs snuck into my TW box. what trailers?
rage menace zoom zcraw (also jr) sometimes paddletails i like trailers that create a lot of drag for the jig, allows me to keep it in the strike zone longer by shaking the rod tip
-
No idea on application for this Rod...what say you?
dont throw out the tube just yet, the extra fast tip screams for a texas rig or tube, you can use any lures that fit the labeled weight range

Benefits of Ring Worm vs. Stick Worm
Stick worms tend to be less itchy

Skipping for Bass
Yes. Jigs, but the easiest will always be a worm or stickbait. Anywhere I can't pitch or cast under.

Question about swim jig weed guards.
swim jigs are designed to come through grass and move fast, you dont need a stiff guard for grass, since grass is much softer, and a stiff weedguard could prevent a hookup at that speed also, there is nothing wrong with pitching a flipping/finesse jig in heavy cover (tree roots, bushes) and swimming it out

Recommendations for beginner moving baits
