jerkbaits from an inflatable kayak causes spinning
for the past month, I've been fishing from an inflatable kayak. this decision was made because i have no garage space, but the kayak itself is still great. it tracks pretty well, has Scotty style mounts for all sorts of things, has space for a milk crate, and it has rigid inflatable floor. this allows me to stand up, which I do 80% of the time I'm fishing, since inflatable kayaks are so stable. I have loved the ability to leave the bank and have caught quite a few fish that I never could before, but I've recently noticed an issue with a certain lure. since the kayak is much lighter than a standard hard-body kayak, fishing a jerkbait on it causes the kayak to start spinning to the side, since my jerking motion is to the side. except for buying a hard-body kayak (not even close to an option right now), what are some suggestions you guys have that could prevent this issue? the setup was a 7'0" casting rod, I used both the small and large sized rapala ripstops. maybe a 6'6" spinning rod would allow me to get more of a downward jerk? I had already caught a fish with a jerkbait on the yak (since it's that time where it dominates), but stopped trying as I got fed up with the spinning.

Soft plastics color that works for you that others probably never heard of.
huckleberry zcraws they pair well with Siebert's Henderson Craw

Texas rig: pegged or free weight
bobber stops, i can choose whether the weight is free or locked to the lure

Zman, the only plastic that can get past that trailer keeper without tearing is ElaZTech

Zoom Baits
Z-Craw and Z-Hog are my favorite creature baits/jig trailers

Holding a spinning rod
I put my pinky behind the trigger for casting rods, it's just comfortable to do the same with the stem on a spinning reel

Higher quality version of S.K. Bitsy Flip Jig? D&L Baby Pro vs Booyah Baby Boo
I can wholeheartedly approve the Siebert Sniper Jig it has a lot of skirt color, head color, and skirt tying options, with good quality. the hook was sharp and they ship the order quickly I love the head design, able to handle rock and grass, swimming and hopping; the bait keeper holds my trailers much better than other jigs; and the weedguard is consistent

Learning to skip a baitcaster.
I would actually recommend a softer tip, a true mod fast action allows the rod to load much easier, allowing for a compact wrist movement, which minimizes backlashes

Fun Lures for Bass
nothing more fun to me then setting the hook on a jig

Braid+leader vs floro
I have low confidence in any connection knot with heavier line, I also don't like having the knot go through casting guides, so straight for casting braid to leader on a spinning outfit is awesome

Confidence Bait
my confidence is my black and blue with the black band, it's super breathable and alwa- oh this is about baits...

Buzzbait Advice
my favorite buzzbait trailer, no need for a trailer hook since the bait is already compact I think I've seen people rough up the blade and rivet where they touch so that it's pure rough aluminum contact, I need to try this soon

Just received my order of blem sniper jigs from @Siebert Outdoors. I like the Zoom Z-craw pairing the most, but the Zoom Super Speed Craw also looks great- Blemished jig blowout.
Wow, you hardly would've guessed they're blemished, a sign of their quality control! It looks incredible with a Z-craw Thanks @Siebert Outdoors!- Blemished jig blowout.
how could I resist $2 a jig? just placed my order for 4 snipers, never tried them but I'm excited since I love finesse jigs- Texas Rig Retrieve
wrist for up and down arm for side to side but to be fair, I honestly don't know what I actually do- GIN clear
GEN GEN GEN I expect nine vision 110s tomorrow- Mono and Fluorocarbon visibility to fish
Line diameter is more important than line type line type, for me, is decided by type of cover above all that, I don't worry too much about line visibility- Leader knots and micro guides
I hate tying leader knots, my solution is to go straight...- One line for Texas Rigs and Buzzbait?
16-18# FC the line on a buzzbait is out of the water so it doesn't affect the lure's action what they don't want is the braid getting caught in the blade/hook of the lure, so they opt for a stiff line to reduce "fouling" without the stretch of mono the reason I use FC is not because I swear to all fishing gods that it's the perfect line, but because I also find my Texas rig setups with FC already available with the necessary gear and FC hasnt hurt my buzzbaiting yet- I hate the weatherman
not a weather-fluent person myself, but weather apps always seem wrong when I need them to be right- Best Knots For Braid Line?
Fish-n-Fool knot- Minimalist Fisherman
depends on if I browsed this forum beforehand, the tackle I bring exponentially grows per post I read. if I don't, a jig rod and a treble hook rod. not because they always catch fish, I just want to get as good as I can with them. - Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
