I have a spinning combo and a bait casting combo, like them both a lot, I feel they are very good combos for the price, but I don’t go much higher than that price range either.

Not a big un, but that’s the rod?

I would just like to state, as I did in the beginning, I don’t really care what anybody else thinks about it. I enjoy bass fishing, and to each there own. Love all the responses.

I have this rod and love it!! Favorite cranking rod I have. I use with square bills most often.

I have 2 of that exact rod, like them a lot. Use with Ned rig .

Lipless crank

Around here , any fish you don’t keep to eat is looked down on, except maybe the musky. And some would kill them also, believing they miight eat a few walleye. all walleye are kept over legal size… it’s foolish

Walleye is king in my area, most my buddies think bass are trash fish, to the point of, just kill them if you catch one. is this common in some areas??? fir the record, I really enjoy bass fishing, and don’t really care what they think. is this common?

That’s a nice set up. I just got an ALX rod last summer, love it. To me that would work for any finesse fishing.

That makes no sense to me. I have not had that issue with braid. and no way i’m pinching my line at all times. That seems odd

I just started becoming more serious about bass fishing. I’m a crankbait guy. I went from about 5 lipless cranks to 56 in 1 year! ? Not to mention the square bills!! the monkey got me

I don’t at all. It annoys me when people leave the plastic on it!

So what’s the opinion on BPS brand equipment? I have a lot of it , and think it’s great , and not super expensive. Ott Defoe, Edwin Evers, use it. I believe both won the classic, And use it in all UTube content. I realize they are sponsored by BPS. But if they using it full time - it must be pretty good?

Lipless cranks, have about 50 Crank baits in general- a few hundred? fun to collect I guess, many have never hit the water?

How many eyes are on the Bass X rod? I looked at a couple, but they seemed to have at least 2 less than all my other casting rods.

I realize light wire hooks, as in finesse can be bent out, although typically this Is light line stuff. I’m curious about the heavy hooks. For example, some guys say swim jigs have lighter hooks, as compared to flipping jigs, yet even swim jig hooks seem impossible for any bass ever to straighten out.

I’d like to know how often someone can straighten a hook. With jigs or large hooks for Texas rig, it seems impossible to me to actually bend out a hook , with the give of the rod, and the line. Even with pliers in hand it’s hard to bend.

I would say it has at least some influence, enough to make me check things out for myself. If I didn’t care for it, I would not not purchase just because a pro uses. As others have said, I would say you tube videos probably have more influence.

Was just fishing where a bunch of carp are spalshing around spawning. First bass came within seconds of 3 large carp passing by the exact spot
