  1. Big hands nailed it. it’s all about the money. No difference who wins.
  2. Anyone know if Josh wiesner fished? Or did he have some kind of issue? I was happy to see a guy from my home town made it in, this is definitely a walleye fishing area, wayyyy more popular than bass around here. sad to see he was the only guy to zero. I guess he still gets $10,000 anyway
  3. I can honestly say, I’ve never fished a tube in my life.
  4. No kidding, what is up with the weigh in??? them boats been off the water for 2 hours with the fish in the live wells?
  5. I’ve got about 75, all different types. red eye shad is my go to, 1/2 oz. last fall had a good afternoon on a 1/4 oz. Warpig also. They were not all giants🤣
  6. At least the black ones won’t turn yellow🙄
  7. I have several of the carbonlite spinning reels, really like them. 1 baitcaster that seems really nice, but rarely used cuz it’s a on a frog rod rarely use. All the older models I guess. 3 rods with 1 complaint- one of the rods is turning yellow. ☹️ about 2 years old.
  8. I’d go with spinner bait and T-rig rage bug or bandito bug. I don’t even consider top water unless super thick weeds.
  9. I don’t use a heavy a lot, so I didn’t spend a ton on it, but I really like it. BPS Johnny Morris carbonlite. 7’3” heavy extra fast. 3/8- 1 1/2oz. on sale rite now for about 120$ I believe for 200 you can get the combo, the reel is nice also.
  10. I’m in the “never” camp. I’ve done it, not impressed.
  11. I would say the ALX rod would be a great choice, however I’m also a believer in never having too many rods👍🏻 I myself don’t use braid for that application, so could see where a moderate action would work
  12. I owned 1 of these, and was impressed by it, I believe 99$ for it. Then came across a sale when they were like 69$. I orderd 2 more. Not saying they gonna last a long time, but I’m very happy with them. Great casting distance, I have no issues with them. I have 3 on my crank bait rods , because they offer a 5:6 to 1 ratio, which I prefer. Lews speed spool ss15A. I will add, that ALX Ikos hustler rod kicks butt. Great crankbait rod. I own a couple 😎
  13. I used to have no faith, but last spring got my first 4 on it
  14. I rarely find lures, but this should be a good one, smithwick rogue. new hooks and I’ll put it to use
  15. Gotta say I only use white or white with a little color mixed in. Probably to my own detriment.🙄
  16. The pic ol’crickety refered to was taken 2/26, and was actually a pond that the day before was still 1/2 ice. Lake Winnebago was still ice, and had sturgeon spearers still out in force. Since then ice is gone every where. Added a few more small bass to the catch total , but very tough. 1 fish per outing is good at this point!only gonna get better though, and just happy to be able to fish. 41° here this morning, supposed to near 50° this afternoon. I’ll give it another try.
  17. Not a big guy , but 1st of the year here in Wisconsin, just a day after ice out. Early start for me. 2/26. Ned rig.
  18. Just a little guy, but first of the year just a day after ice out, ready to get to it in Wisconsin.oops , meant to put this on 1st of 2024 thread🤣
  19. Looks nice, gotta love new equipment 😎
  20. I’ve not had any issues with it, use it quite a bit. Click on Rods, click on spinning or casting, click on brand??? what’s so confusing ?

Looks like the entire top ten should easily get century belts

I’ve been considering going barbless since my son and I both buried hooks in hands this year and getting outrageous bills from urgent care to remove them! I would image they pull out real easy with out the barb.
  23. I have the casting version, they are great for crankbaits. I would think the spinning would certainly be also, especially the smaller baits, or light baits, like a shad rap.
  24. 🤣 I’m not much of a topwater guy. I’ve tried a bit , I own a couple ploppers.
  25. Never caught a fish on one regardless of color.
