  2. Maybe a first time elite winner in this one. I believe only a couple elite wins in the top ten. But I guess when they separated by ounces, you never know. side note: I just canceled my subscription to Ike’s channel. enough is enough. grow up.
  3. Yes , only ounces difference in making it
  4. Looks like about 37 # to make the cut

  6. I wish I could post the great , very clear pictures my phone takes on the site, but it doesn’t accept them.
  7. Gee whiz
  8. I usually always take a quick photo, because on an iPhone it shows an exact location. I reference them sometimes just to see where and when, and method used. I give them a Quick Look over and release. I like the unique color of some , or the black blotch markings
  9. The only way I’ve figured out to do it from my phone is to email the picture to myself, because it offers the chance to change size. I then put it in files, and put it on that way. Problem is it’s usually a little fuzzy, because of changing the size.
  10. I use drop shot only on a couple super clear lakes I fish, in deep water( 15-30’) I’ve had some great days on it, but definitely not the most exciting way to fish. Get a good fight thou, on spinning gear from the deep water. I always use 8lb test leader. 8-18” off bottom.
  11. I have at times. I feel like on a clear bright day, lighter color braid might actually be better against a bright background. In any kind of stained or dirty water, I don’t think it really makes a difference. I’m not convinced a bass has any clue of line anyway. Maybe in very clear water.
  12. 2 ALX , OXIM series rods, 1 is 7’1” MH fast with 30# braid 1 is 7’2” MH+ fast with 20# mono both with 8.1 gear ratio reels
  13. I’m right about 25, but about 13-14 designated for bass fishing. I find that I manly stick with the higher end set ups, just because they are just nicer to use. nothing wrong with budget set ups, they will get the job done. I’ve been replacing my cheaper set ups with nicer ones, and for me , about 10 baitcast set ups and 3-4 spinning take care of bass fishing. Use cheaper set ups for perch and panfish.
  14. I’ve got several Lews reels both spinning and casting, but maybe not the lowest price ones. No complaints at all. That being said I recently got a cheap Kastking and am very impressed with it. quite surprised actually
  15. I never have, haven’t had an issue. either way , just please, please do not leave the plastic on the cork on a new rod🤣🤣
  16. That seems extremely overkill. 1 baitcaster and 1 spinning rod should cover it. I guess maybe you leave the extra in the vehicle. Cuz if your carrying 6 setups around, you look not cool🤣 My bad My bad Sorry, it keeps combining my comments
  17. I do agree to a point. I guess what I meant was when flipping or pitching a jig or Texas rig around , for me at least it’s always very short , and the drag is locked down, so for those methods, I only use a very short section of the line. Swim jigs can definitely be different, but I also rarely throw long casts with them. I replace line a lot, so only doing about 50 yards works for me , for my rods designated to those methods. Different for me with cranking rods. I would do 100 yards on those
  18. Fluke whopper plopper , both worthless in my book🤣 however, I used to feel the same about swim jigs, and jigs in general, but since I’ve stuck with them, and learned how to use them, they are now my go to . when shore fishing, I rarely use something other then some type of jig.
  19. I just had a small pike(24”) cut clean thru 20 lb . Brand new mono a day ago. Saw the fish. Cut clean in a mili second 🙄 But it not a 150 lure. Ouch!!!
  20. For Texas rig, jig, Swimjig, a lot of stuff. when do you ever use more than 25 yards of line??? Usually only using the first 10 yards.(when flipping or pitching a jig or Texas rig)When you break it off a few times , just replace the 50-75 yards you use. Half the line on all my reels never gets used. Braid with swim jigs would be perfect. Mh or even medium rod. No stretch in the braid, and typically not bombing swim jigs out there.
  21. I let almost all bass go, but don’t feel bad eating one occasionally. I live on a walleye lake, and most people keep every walleye they catch. round here , plenty of guys kill bass purposely when they catch them . It’s quite stupid actually.
  22. If one is bleeding that bad, I just keep it and eat it( if legal)
  23. Got me thinking, my boxes are always in truck or boat in garage , so both places get hot, but not sun. Just went out to check them 25-30 RES in lipless mix and them and other various brands all looked good . Is it from sun?
