I have three of the standard 3600 boxes that I use for terminal tackle. Love 'em. Everything stays where is supposed to, even small hooks. Worth every penny for terminal, wouldn't buy them for larger baits personally.

I've never seen more than a half dozen on one log in my area. Turtles sunning themselves is always a welcome sight for me in spring and fall. Bass like to lay up against that same sun warmed wood IME.

The vast majority of my big fish have come from either dark or cold water. The night bite has slowed in my neck of the woods, but the cool water season is just around the corner.

I've used different brands. They all catch fish. It's just that style bait that matters. The glide and subtle tail wag that long flat tail provides is the key IMO.

They've got a subtle tail wag that crappie love, especially in cold water. If I could only have one crappie bait, this would be it.

They like to wait until you get directly under their roost at night to take off screeching. They think it's funny to make fisherman ? their pants.

6-4 Caught on a chatterbait at night in early september. I was fishing it around isolated patches of broadleaf pondweed. That stuff can be lights out in the fall. It stays green all the way up to drawdown in November, long after the other weeds are dead and gone.

I'd simply recommend the one with the fastest gear ratio and the strongest drag. When fishing any bait in heavy cover, it's important to hit 'em hard and get them coming your way on the hookset, then don't give 'em an inch at least until they're clear of the cover.

No, just that one. Wish I'd have at least got to see it. It was a beast. I can manhandle a three footer with my chatterbait setup. The one that bit me off gave a couple big headshakes at the hookset, then took off like a freight train. Drag is set in the high teens on that rig and it wasn't even slowing it down. Then... gone...

Water's down to 74, weeds are mostly dead, and the bass bite has been tough other than the slugfest I ran into last week. The cooler water has the musky moving shallow though. This is the third in three trips to lake #1, with another follow, and a bite off.
