  1. three days blank, but I saw a blowup for the first time this year and a cormorant for the first time in many days. I'd be shocked if there weren't beds happening in about 10 days. My time is approaching. Just wish I could shake the sore throats, this is the third one this year and I'm starting to feel like I wanna speak to the manager
  2. I am nature pilled/fishing maxxed, I will go to the man made lake and catch the non-native species with bits of plastic. So much cheese in my pockets they called me a calzone. I have a go kart made of pickles, Chuck. Chuck, tomorrow I will ride to Paducah on a chicken made of steak, chuck. How many fingers am I holding up? Tell me, before the next red eye shad dies
  3. Been blanked the last two days. It's just part of winter fishing from the bank for me. The weather was great but they just weren't where I was. Sometimes that's an indictment on my skills, sometimes it's not. Thinking I'm there at the wrong time of day probably. This warmer weather might have just opened the morning bite and killed the nooner. I'm not taking it personally just yet 😂
  4. BPS also makes a floating lizard
  5. picked up this bad boy over the weekend
  6. who stole andy reid's gravy boat, and then returned it in the second half
  7. Strikes at the waters edge are just nature popping the toast out at you. Except bass
  8. First roberts bass of the year yesterday. Had about a 20mph north wind but it was sunny so I took to the rocks Water temps are in the high 40s
  9. Them bitsy flips be doin work
  10. FINALLY Finally managed to get on em with the help of a good friend (who owns a phoenix) on a lake I've never fished before. He caught the big fish of the day with a 6 and a 4ish, but we racked up the dinks - 22 fish total in about 3 hours of fishing. I got probably 8-10 of the total, we doubled up at least twice. They were coming in fast enough that I stopped counting. Vision 110s did the work in 47 degree water until the rain started rolling in. I like fishing again 🤗
  11. I've required lenses to drive since my teenage years. Never had a pair of Rx sunglasses, but I think this year is when it happens
  12. the laws of physics continue to defy me, or whatever
  13. I also wonder this. I've been privileged enough to have lived a lot in a short amount of time. Life happens fast no matter how far you get.
  14. It did not. I was honestly shocked. The bait looks great in the water with a tail on. Made me real sad. But I got a couple nessie 9s to fish with in the meantime, those things look great in the water too. Just wish they had the profile like the shine glide
  15. That may be a solution. I also emailed savage gear. We all know that glide baits helicopter when you cast em, I would hope that baitmakers would build that into their design https://youtu.be/3ExGuHWdXCE?si=Q21iRtL0QrWh1nXv
  16. Third cast with this bait, the tail is gone. Can this be replaced? I can't find an obvious replacement. I guess this is why I should have bought the Chad shad I would like to speak to the manager of Fishing
  17. I tried it out at lake fork yesterday and it just falls too quick to keep it off the timber. I bent the hooks out of two before I gave up
  18. I mean, to a degree. I've caught one 3lber in like 8 hours
  19. Thanks! I've only caught the one. My buddy has bested his PB twice which is cool
  20. It's about 2.5, maybe 3. My buddy and the guide have each caught one about the same size. Typing while running. Worth it.
  21. The definitions of "slow sink" really are all over the place - I have a stunna 112 that sinks super slow, it's perfect for working up the hill on ripraps. Thinking I would have a similar experience with the 6th sense 106x slow sink, I was dead wrong. It falls at least 3x faster and I honestly hate it. Yet, the 6th sense flow glide 130 I got falls just as slow as the stunna. All labeled "Slow sink". for line though I love the sufix tritanium plus but for controlling sink I believe a braid-to-mono or straight monofilament is better. The tritanium sinks a bit and causes problems with the slow sink baits. This can be advantageous sometimes with a walking bait, as it will pull the bait under the surface yet still retains the side-to-side walking action
  22. Closest I get to that is deep sea fishing once off the coast of Mombasa, Kenya. I was like 12. The indian ocean doesn't play around, I can say that much. After a few hours the swell was so intense that everyone else got seasick, so we went in. That is the only time I've ever been in a situation where the peak-to-peak wavelength was that much longer than the boat, and I would be happy to never experience it again. We hooked a few sailfish. I've fished the Texas coast some, my first catches ever happened down there as a kid with my dad. But I wouldn't say I know the first thing about saltwater fishing, or that I'm any good at it. As of right now I'm feeling the same way about catching bass lmao
  23. I forget that I caught my first ever LMB late May 2021 in Maine
  24. I've pretty much only fished in Texas but I can catch em on lots of different lures. Except in the winter. Can't hit the broad side of an aircraft hangar with a car in the winter.
