  1. Back up, Terry! Put it in reverse Terry!
  2. Any time I bring the senkos to the lake with me, the crows show up and take the shape of Roland Martin chanting Sink-O! Over and over again while throwing helicopter lures into the rocks
  3. I generally hate how touchy and boring it is but it's a lot less boring when they're eating it lol
  4. Got into some today. No giants but one decent fish. 6 tiny dinks including a lil meanmouth. I hate ned rigging but if it's the catcher then it's the catcher. The bigger one smoked it as I was burning it back to shore
  5. I like the bass pro neon grape lizards. They're blue and purple, caught some decent bass on that
  6. i have one color from yamamoto that caught fire for me last year but it hasn't been the same since. tried it for the first time this year today and nada. probably gonna retire that one for a while. I did pull one out of a gullet today though, got some color insight out of that.
  7. The first guy that comes to mind passed away about a year ago. That was a great friend. I'm pretty close with my current fishing buddy but he's a little more stoic than I am. I think I have more close friends than most guys, and I try not to take that for granted. I've found myself making more friends who are women recently. which is not a complaint or a problem, just occasionally dodgy with the GF lol
  8. With the numbers you catch I wouldn't be shocked if it was a regular occurrence. None of mine have hit the same bait twice as far as I know, but we fish different populations
  9. Looking back I think I actually caught this week's fish back in early june. I can't be totally certain because the June photos are a little blurry, but it's the exact shape, size, and has a few markings on the gill plate that are identical. So three times.
  10. Haven't caught any in the same day, but three that come to mind are the 4lb I caught 24hr 3mins apart in the exact same place, within 10 yards; the 3lb ish bass i caught twice this week (monday then thursday, 30 yards apart); and the tiny tiny meanmouth I caught almost five months apart. This is from the same area of a 27000 acre reservoir. I should branch out more when it cools off... I would do...things...to catch an 8+ multiple times lol
  11. I caught this same fish Monday. Got someone else's senko+flipping hook safely out of her gullet but I don't think this Bass is long for this world. Only bite today. I snapped off the c rig lizard I was using on the next cast, the weight snapped back on me and killed the tip guide on my rod. It was only an Aird-x but it still hurts and I won't be able to replace it for a while. I'm averaging about 20 bucks in wrecked gear per day this week no matter what I use. Universe better be prepping me for a new PB cause I'm gonna lose what's left of my hair if this continues lol
  12. Just call me Josh Jones ????
  13. Found em on the ultralight tonight, two little LM and a PB for smallest white crappie I've ever caught
  14. catching on a shakey trick worm is a goal of mine. how do you fish yours?
  15. I made eye contact with a bass today so we're getting closer to catching one I think
  16. Those H2O baits, man. I'm still stuck on the red eye shad but I have a few of the H2O lipless too. It's only second to the RES, the 6th sense and googan cranks I have are flatly an expensive disappointment by comparison. Nice work!
  17. Whatever ones have the least plastic, so probably very few
  18. it was a beautiful day outside, first comfortable morning sine June. I would have saved myself a lipless crankbait and a couple gallons of gas by sleeping in. they didn't want me today.
  19. Honestly persistence is responsible for all of my decent sized fish. Being in Texas and maxing out at 7-10 I still feel like I haven't yet caught a truly big bass, just good ones. But I know it's a matter of time if I go to the right places, which I've been working on.
  20. Thanks! The smallmouth really are a treat, such angry little fish. My first topwater smallmouth too. There is a uniquely Christmas-ornament sensation that comes with having a sand bass hanging from a lure that's hanging from your thumb meats. 3 stars, would not recommend
  21. They really wanted the topwater today. Caught a nice smallmouth first thing, it slammed the pop-r after a single pop. Then a sand bass did the same thing. It mangled my thumbs pretty good, I took a gill plate to one thumb and two barbs into the other. That fish may have been tossed back into the lake with a little bit of disrespect. Still I persist. Got two spotted bass and two nice LM after that. Bite ded, morning done, no regrets.
  22. Biz powder does good things for me. Blood comes out pretty easy if you wash it quickly. Waiting 24 hours is where I start to see stains after washing
  23. Someone pulled a 9lb wiper out of Lewisville a few weeks ago, they're tons of fun when they reach size like that. That was a Whitney discovery for me lol
  24. smallmouth and wipers. TPWD puts a lot of wipers in there. One of the tough parts about most of TX is that all the lakes are like a few hours apart with few exceptions. Its one of the things that I love about DFW, and would love wayyyyy more if I had a boat. I can hit 10k acres driving less than 90 minutes in any direction.
