  1. Anybody here remember Jimmy Rogers? I used to love watching that show. I ran into Jimmy several years back but didn't realize who he was until he had already walked away. I just kept thinking... "Where do I know that guy from?" :-/ I understand that he passed away a few years back. If so, that's sad to hear. I have fond memories of watching him use a Bang O Lure around the Water Hyacinths! :'(

    Nice Bass! Congrats!

    Beautiful looking fish. Very clean!
  4. Keep up the good work! It's great to see kids at such a young age taking up Bass fishing. I started Bass fishing when I was 13 yrs old. If my parents hadn't have built a house on a lake, I may never have even started! I've been hooked for 23 yrs now.

Yep, it's hot! It's 6:30 pm right now and it says that it's still 90* outside! :'(
  6. Well, I still enjoy watching Bill Dance and Roland Martin probably the best. Probably because I grew up watching them. I'll pretty much watch any Bass fishing show though.
  7. Hard to say, but if I had to guess... I'd say 4 lbs (+/-).
  8. Man, it is big! I wonder why? :-?
  9. Heck, you guys made me go and find these pics from a few years back! From the way he fought... I could have swore he was at least 9 inches! ;D Here's a Florida Smallmouth!
  10. Nice Bass!
  11. "Lures For Free will never charge you. Our advertisers pay for your lures, including shipping." That's what it says at their site. I still think it's a scam. Like Sam said... nothing is for free! Why would they be giving away lures and free shipping to just anyone?
  12. Ok, I don't think anyone is calling you a liar. We just think you're confused. The record LM Bass for Ohio is just over 13 lbs and that was caught back in the late 70's. I'm sure you had a really nice Bass. Just nowhere near 17 lbs. Carp are not carnivorous and don't eat Ducks. They have very small mouths. Maybe it "looked" like it ate a Duckling? Maybe it was a rogue Catfish? :-?
  13. Just be glad it wasn't a Alligator Gar like this one!
  14. I posted pics a couple months ago, but I caught a 10.6# and a 12.11# back in April. I'm still working on getting a bigger fish! A 15# + would be nice.
  15. I leave them in the bag.
  16. Looks good except for the hook being exposed and you might want to trim the line a little closer.
  17. I love Zara Spooks, Bang O' Lures and a Buzz baits. Those are my favorites.
  18. Sounds like fun! Teach em' while they're young.
  19. Way to go! The next generation of Bass fishermen! 8-)
  20. I'm hoping to catch my first Walleye soon on my next trip to N.C. I understand they have them up there? That's what I was told last time by a local.
  21. Nice Bass! 8-)
  22. I caught my first SM up in N.C. a few years back. Now I just need one bigger than the 10 inch SM Bass I was catching then! :-/
  23. Looks like you guys had fun.
