We head up to the BWCA in three weeks and I am hopeful everything gets cleared up by then. It's such a bummer seeing others having to cancel plans and not be up there. It's something I always look forward to visiting.

Jerkbait Frog Jig

I’ve had a lot of luck this year throwing an Xzone MB Fat Finesse. I haven’t fished the KVD finesse but the sizes don’t look too far off. Plus the MB has a flat bottom. For me I rarely if ever make sure to match my jig and trailer the same color. 99% of the time I am throwing a PBJ jig and a green pumpkin with some other color mixed in(blue in the spring/orange for summer/fall)trailer. The other 1% is when my lake is super clear and I wanted to match the hatch as close as possible.

Where can you get one for $40? I’ve been trying to find a good paddle replacement since I don’t like the T style either.

It's pretty insane with these prices. I also stocked up before the price hike but will also have to do some thinking when they run out. I've already gone back to lead jigs like Greenfish and Dirty because I cant justify the price of Beast Coast ones at the moment. Hopefully the pricing will go down someday.

By far my worst week. Only one made the weekend and none fished Sunday.

KVD 1.5 in Brown Orange Belly or Chart/Black have been my go to for years. I’m gonna try out a couple different cranks this spring.

I broke a victory rod setting the hook on a log fish. Scared the hell outta me but it was under warranty and I got a replacement pretty quickly.

Gama, Owner, VMC are what I use for most applications. Owner Haymaker is probably my favorite hook to use as it's replaced pretty much all my EWG hooks.

I’ve been using the VMC redline swimbait ball jig head with a lot of success. I also bought their shaker minnow that I’m excited to try out this year.
