Caught this 4lb smallie(PB) with a mooch minnow at the boundary waters in August.

Crush City Mooch Minnow. That thing just straight up catches them(my avatar is my PB smallmouth caught on a MM)

I just read the article on this. Wild stuff for sure and it makes me think if these people put more time into the sport instead of finding ways to cheat. They might actually have success.

I was in the same boat you are. I thought the utility box was for terminal stuff but it finally drove me nuts that I just decided to get the terminal box. The little boxes do help but I will say I have less tackle in there because of space issue. Which for me is great because I have WAY too much as is.

Plano Edge Terminal Box 3700 is what you need for your tackle. The Utility box I don't think was designed for hooks and other terminal items. I use the TB 3700 and all my tackle stays in one place.

I just got into DS fishing this summer but I have a St Croix Mojo Trigon 6-10 ML/XF. So far so good.

During the spring Ive had alot of success with a stick bait. I'll switch to a brush hog type in the warmer months.

If its also for topwater than I would definitely use mono.

I use that exact rod for bladed jigs. I use 15# Fluoro

The 4-1/2” mooch minnow has me intrigued.

I love using the Maxscent chiggar craw in 3”. I usually stock up whenever I find any on sale.

I made the switch to Tatsu last year and I love it! I buy it on Amazon since they are usually alittle cheaper.
