  1. As someone who prefers to fish with bottom contact baits, I could talk about it all day(You all have been warned)
  2. Ask a vague question, you get a lot of answers🤷‍♂️
  3. I noticed that too when I first started using them. I decided to not full tex pose it but just enough for the tip to barely break the surface. My hookup ratio was still the same and saw less snags.
  4. I'll sleep wherever the dogs are @TnRiver46 Im not picky
  5. This is exciting for sure! Also BIG shoutout to @TnRiver46 for offering his home for all of us to stay during the tournament.
  6. I really like my St Croix Victory 7'2" MHMF for chatter and lipless. If you are fine with slightly longer rod, I would check it out.
  7. I would call my light TR setup a power finesse more than just a finesse presentation. I use 1/8 or 1/4oz weights on #12 Tatsu. The setup is also used for tubes and light jigs
  8. Also dont forget when in the season we would be throwing these baits. I use stick worms for the spring and early summer but after that its something with appendages like a Man Bear Pig from Reaction Innovations.
  9. Glenn scammed us to warn everyone about scammers. I love and hate the guy for doing it
  10. I love to throw a stick worm on TR but that's for my light version and I went with the heavier one here
  11. Well good thing it’s just you, me and some guy named Glenn on this site.
  12. The Owner Haymaker is kind of a hybrid of EWG and straight shank. Its been great for me so far but I only started using them at the end of last season.
  13. I mainly used it for knot protection but I wanna try that c-rig style this season
  14. I could be wrong but I think the bead is there to prevent the eyelet from catching or bumping the knot. I have a bobber stopper that I use with the free rig
  15. I have a light and heavy version but since we can only go with one it would have to be the heavy combo. Both are Free Rigs Rod: St Croix Victory 7’3 HXF Reel: Daiwa Zillion 8.5 Line: Tatsu 15lb Hook: Owner Haymaker 4/0 Weight:3/8 or 1/2oz Woo! tungsten cylinder Bait: Reaction Innovation sweet beaver
  16. Before I got into tournament fishing, I had probably 4 or 5 combos that covered everything. I’ve cut my combos down now but it’s probably around a dozen.
  17. I thought this was a thread about Tyler Williams. Go Cyclones
  18. My poor attempt at a joke opened the window to FFS talk and I just want to apologize to the BR community. I will learn from this an try to be better next time.
  19. You're good Pat. I was just making a joke about Medium getting outfished in ten mintues by someone who's never fished.
  20. I think I understand why this thread was dead for 3 years..
  21. My first couple bait casters were Abu’s and I thought the Revos were fine for the price at the time. Once I got a better paying job, I started to upgrade to Shimano and then Daiwa.
  22. I care for my fellow BR members wasting their time on this And I’m easily a top five favorite on this site. We voted on it, but please don’t look it up or anything.
  23. Imagine caring this much about someone who doesn’t know you from a can of paint. Couldn’t be me.
