Have you tried a jerkbait or a big swimbait like a magdraft. Like Forrest Gump, I’m not a smart man but I would suggest seeing if those two would work.

How do you like the Smackdown? I finally started setting up my spinning reels with braid now instead of just fluoro.

Ive never thought to bounce a jerkbait off a boat before. I mainly use Vision 110's, so I wont be doing that anytime soon.
