I tipped.
I put together a “kayak crate” with rod holders to help do a better job organizing.

I tipped.
As a canoeist I know exactly what happened… she didn’t cast the second lure it was hanging off a rod over the gunwale as she has pictured. I do this a lot and usually kick myself at least once an outing over it. I’m trying to get better at securing my unused rods and baits because I too wound up swimming over a very similar hang up a few weeks ago. I’ve also had a crappie smash a small swimbait that was dangling in the water as a paddle once.. so that was cool.

This thread is dangerous… I just received my order from the BaitWRX sale… they will be getting a lot more money from me… I got so much for my $$$.

The Found Lures Thread
It’s whopper plopper season y’all. I’m done buying lures just gonna hunt them from now on.. I bought this same one on Black Friday, haven’t even thrown it yet. There’s a kid at the local pond I see putting in the work all the time I’m going to give this to.

The Ethics Finding Spots Through Observation
I fish the same bank 5-7 days a week.. there are 3 spots that can be fished without fighting with bushes or trees. Everyday other anglers watch me catch fish in any or all 3 of those spots, I fish whichever one isn’t occupied and will gladly trade spots with someone that’s not having luck once I’ve caught a couple. I don’t own the bank and the boats you see fishing that spot in question certainly don’t own the water. Tight lines.

The Found Lures Thread
Thanks for the ID… crankbait looks cheap so that makes sense… this is the second “I know it” 90 whopper plopper I’ve found at this pond. I thought since I found them within 3 inches of each other and they’re colored similar it might have been the same guy that lost them, but the disparity in quality leads me to believe perhaps not.

The Found Lures Thread
All my best finds happen when searching for one I lost… threw a ned rig into a tree before work, didn’t have time to get it, went back at lunch it was gone but these 2 were on the ground… anybody got an ID on the squarebill? second time finding this exact whopper plopper at this pond while looking for a lure I lost.

Greetings from Bass mecca (NE Texas)`
Welcome… I took a long hiatus too, it’s like riding a bike though, you’ll pickup where you left off.

Other Species Latest Catch Pics Thread
My first yellow perch of the year, next cast yielded my first LMB of the year… ending a 4.5 month losing streak. I’ve never been so happy to catch a dink.

I went into a BassProShop yesterday.
I had a $50 gift card I planned on spending in the store. Then I realized how much easier online would be since I knew exactly what I wanted. Might be a fun way to get lost for a day… but I’m getting too old to waste time like that on purpose.

Show your ride...
I agree… I’ve been researching and I believe the Sportspal is older than me. The 14 foot Radisson is light, the Sportspal is featherweight. It has a couple of seams that I want to reseal (although they probably don’t leak) and obviously some paint work. The 14 footer has 2 thwarts which I use to lift onto the roof of my Jeep. I’m going to make a seat for the Sportspal that incorporates a grab handle for easier cartopping. My current outrigger setup will swap over but I probably won’t use it much.

Show your ride...
Big shout out to @BigBiscuit for hooking me up with this Sportspal Owner before BB painted over the factory red, luckily they didn’t prep well so I think I’ll be able to save most of the factory finish as per BB’s suggestion. 5 minutes with a plastic razor blade followed by 10 minutes with the pressure washer.. the paint on the bottom is sticking better than I hoped. I have big plans for this girl. The 12 is want I wanted when I lucked into my 14, she’ll be going to my neighbor and his son.

Soooooo… how did you do?

Trout stocking and bass fishing
Thanks Tom, I’ll grab some spoons too then. I bought some rainbow trout colored crank baits to try to find the big bass that eat them. I’m wondering how long after the hatch (stocking) they’ll remain effective. It’s going to be fun finding out.

Trout stocking and bass fishing
You know what jerkbait your buddy caught that trout on?.. great looking fish, this will be my first year targeting trout as well as using the trout stock to help me target bass.

MA giant
I’m going at lunch, already tied a Stunna on last night. What kind of jerk did you catch that monster on? Hell of a fish, congrats.

Four season anglers, which season gives you the most trouble?
I caught 3 bass in less than 10 minutes on Nov 13th and not a one since… and I’ve been out a lot. Winter has been awful, if it wasn’t for the pickerel bite I may have snapped.

You are the best.. nothing in the flyer interests me.. bummer.

The latest sale thread
The only mention of the spring classic I can find online is the trade in program, otherwise the crappie madness sale flyer is posted. No big deal the sale is less than a week away, I’ll look through the flyer when they post it then.

You’ve come to the right place. You fish the river with a boat, kayak, canoe? I’m a canoeist… looking to try some river fishing this year.

Rapala OG Rocco
Ott Defoe just did a video for *** featuring it.. I think he helped develop it. It looks awesome in the water.. I’m not a big crankbait guy but I was thinking of picking a couple up to try.

Can anybody with the Basspro mailer tell me what they’re offering for transom mount trolling motors on sale.. I really can’t paddle anymore, my shoulder only has casting left in it and even that may be too much.

A Very Difficult Good Bye
Sorry for your loss.

can you fish where you work? office?
My favorite bank spot is 10 minutes from work, spend a lot of lunch hours there… 10 minutes each way leaves 40 minutes to get a line wet.
