I've got the BFS, Shallow Edition & 100 size. As FishTank stated they're all the same size reel. They are amazing little reels and are my favorites in my line up. The Shallow Edition I use on an Expride 7'2" ML/F rod and love it for shakey heads and smaller texas rigs. It's my favorite out of all of them but all three are amazing reels. Sends lures into orbit!

It's my favorite BTL knot I use. Sometimes I don't nail it the first try (& I can't figure out why) and can be frustrating when trying to tie one fast on the boat but it works once you get it.

I think if the Curado rods had cork grips, they would sell waaaay more. I have some EVA foam grip rods but I much prefer cork or carbon.

The best packaging I’ve had for a shipped rod yet. PVC tubing cut to your rod length with bubble wrap around the rod. You should be just fine.

Seriously, it left Japan on the 11th and was delivered on the 12th... hard to believe I know! Went from Japan to Anchorage, then to Louisville, then to Kansas City, then to Emporia then Delivered.

Not 100% sure yet. I was throwing a spinnerbait on a M/XF the week before and when I hooked the first one after I bought it I remember thinking to myself, "that was weird". I need some more time with it in my hands. It sure has more backbone then I was expecting though.

I ordered an Orochi X10 a few weeks ago and I received it in 3 days! The tariff sucked as I had to pay an additional $80. Could have just bought it from a US for the same when it was all said and done but ironically enough, the US shipped rod probably would have taken longer lol

My Cadillacs. I’ve always been a sucker for round reels as the Ambassadeur C3s is what I learned baitcasting on. These little Calcuttas are amazing… waaay smaller than I was expecting. The Shallow Edition is my favorite of them all.

Lol, thanks man. I’m the same way, I can’t have a blue rod and a red reel. luckily, the spinnerbait bite was hot for the first hour and a half this morning. Lost a five pounder at the boat and then broke off a monster because I have no patience and didn’t retie. 😭 I keep telling myself it was a catfish… it was a fun morning though.

yeah it is a bummer but Japan Lure Shop threw in that Fuji hook keeper which doesn't bother me... Also….. my Gomexus handle came in a day earlier then expected so it’s like Christmas around here 🤣 last pic guys, I promise

Found a guy selling a mint 51e (I've always wanted one). Looks like it could be a perfect match with the X10 Super Elseil.

Ordered Monday night and received just now. Orochi X10 Super Elseil Bought this rod hoping it would be perfect for 3/8 - 1/2oz spinnerbaits. I really wanted something in the 6'10" - 7' range and after a ton of research I pulled the trigger. I had thoughts that maybe the Bandersnatch might be the rod I should have bought but after unboxing I think this might be exactly what I was looking for. I have a special little reel, that I searched high and low for a long time, that I'm thinking will fit this perfectly.

Thanks for the info. I ended up going with the Super Elseil. I figured if it's not what I'm looking for I'll use it for topwater and grab the Bandersnatch later on.

I would like to bump this up as I am very interested in this rod and the Super Elseil. Would like to see if anyone has much experience with these, especially the Bandersnatch, Super Elseil, & Rapid viper. Those 3 are what I'm most interested in.

Edge rods has a crazy 60% off for “Insiders list only” which is weird I got the email since I’ve never bought anything from them. Well I just couldn’t turn that deal down as I’ve been intrigued by them for a while. Pulled the trigger on an Epitome MBR-725-1…. $499 original price that I got for just over $200 to my door. Now I wait for god knows how long 🤣
