Mid October to the end of January I'm chasing ducks and geese. Come February I start fishing again. The hunting has been slow, so I'm slipping into fishing mode a little early. I've bought 3 new reels this week....

I don't know about "best". But I use 15lb J8 with a 6 or 8 lb Sufix Elite leader. Works for me

Well, not exactly. Here is the email I just received from Gary. This is not true. I have made no change to Champions and not marking them down. I do have a few models that have an incorrect tip that I marked down $100. The tip is awesome it’s just not one I normally use. There’s several models. I know DC 794SB is one of them, but I don’t recall the others right now. If interested let me know and I’ll chase down the other models. Thanks, Gary D.

I just picked up a Daiwa Legalis for my Ned rod. I haven't fished it yet but it seems OK for $70.

That's the knot I've been using since I've went to braid. It's been great so far.

I picked up a Daiwa Legalis 2500 yesterday. It's going on my Sierra 692s Ned rod.

I dedicated my Sierra 692 to being a Ned rod. I like it.

A few years back I ordered an upper from Noveske. Inside the box was a couple of Troy rear sights. I shot them an email & they sent me a return label. A couple of weeks later I received a swag pack with a hat, couple of shirts & a bunch of stickers. There was a thank you note written on the N/C invoice. Pretty cool.

I use the same rod I use for crank baits. G Loomis GL2 PR844C. For frogs I use a Dobyns Fury 735C.

It seems that for wacky worms I've had the same luck with cheap generic eBay senkos that I have with Yamamotos. Meaning they both work well. I use o rings and octopus hooks.
