  1. A few months back someone posted the Lefty Kreh knot. I've been using it since then with no problems at all.
  2. For many years I pigeonholed myself into the baitcaster only mindset. I sure caught a lot more fish when I stopped being a one dimensional fisherman.
  3. A Dobyns Fury 795SB is a great cheap rod.
  4. Does it need to be fishing specific? Buy a big backpack and fill it up?
  5. I was wondering if this was going to happen. I looked at a few of these sale rods. The description said one thing, but when I cross referenced the actual part # on the iRod website they were for a different rod. I wish I had posted something
  6. Tatula 6'10" M/XF with a Daiwa BG 2500
  7. Yep, I meant to say that too
  8. It just works so smoothly. It casts a mile, so far I have zero line twist, and no line memory. I've actually been using my spinning gear more than my baitcasting gear so far this year.
  9. I could load it on a car if needed. It would be doable with a proper rack. That's why I bought it. It's light enough to huck into the back of my truck.
  10. I switched to braid on my spinning rod this year. Like greentrout said, it's a game changer. I like it enough that I've added 3 spinning rods to my arsenal. I use 15 & 20 Jbraid 8.
  11. I can stand up in this no problem. $299
  12. Producto Lure tournament worms. I've been using them for over 30 years.
  13. That's been the Smallmouth bait of choice here in the Umpqua river for as long as I can remember.
  14. Are your hooks sharp?
  15. My T-rig rod is a Loomis IMX-PRO 853C JWR XF. It's my favorite worm rod.
  16. I've got 2 BG 2500's. Hands down my favorite spinning reels. They're a little heavy but it doesn't matter to me. As soon as I see a sale I'll be picking up 2 more to replace my Sahara and President.
  17. I'm glad I jumped on the Sundolphin 8.5 when Sportsmans Warehouse had them for $299
  18. I'd fish it and see if you like it. If so, great. If not, change it up.
  19. We were catching both. Mostly smallies in this lake though.
  20. We caught a ton on Friday here in Southern Oregon at Applegate lake. Good times!
  21. Plus my left hand is already there since I like to feather my line. It helps me with accuracy. And with spinning gear I need all the help I can get!
  22. I was taught that way by my grandad when I was a kid.
