  1. Thanks guys. I too was a big Lamiglas fan back in my river rat days. I was just surfing around and saw these rods. It's sad to see what their bass rods have become. I've got a couple of Fury's. I don't find them sensitive enough for bottom contact baits.
  2. Has anyone here tried these rods? I'm looking at the 703c in particular. It looks like a lot of rod for under $100. But I also know you get what you pay for.... Anyone?
  3. Ordered some jigs from @Siebert Outdoors last night.
  4. I'm pretty much at the point where if it isn't a Daiwa or Shimano I don't even give it a passing glance.
  5. I'm also a fan of Daiwa J 8.
  6. I just read this whole thread. I need a nap & then I'll order some jigs
  7. Picked up a Plano guide series 3600 tackle bag. $59 on clearance at Sportsman's.
  8. Just wanted to pass this one along. I picked up another Plano guide series tackle bag today. Sportsman's has the 3600 on clearance for $59. It'll be the perfect size for my Sundolphin. Here you go
  9. I agree with the above posters. A couple of my favorite lakes always have a stiff late afternoon/early evening breeze. They are also great for night fishing. I always kind of snubbed my nose at spinning gear for bass. That is until I tried braid last year, it was an absolute game changer for me. Since adding 4 different spinning rigs to my arsenal I caught more fish last year than any past year that I can remember.
  10. Years ago I had some Culprits that were what they called "Salt & Pepper". They were a clear worm with black specks in them. I honestly don't remember doing very well with them.
  11. LOL, I've bought 3 in the last couple of weeks
  12. I have one spot I fish where Motor Oil is my go to color. I sometimes throw one Black Grape Tournament worm into a bag of a half dozen or so Motor Oil Tournament worms. The color they turn when they bleed together is pretty sweet.
  13. Loomis E6X 853s JWR with a Daiwa BG 2500. It's a good setup.
  14. Yes, just searched for "tackle bag".
  15. The Christmas returns are showing up at the Amazon warehouse. I scored a brand new Plano 3700 guide series bag for $57.18!
  16. I didn't know they still made keeper hooks. Those used to be all I used. Never lost many fish with them either. I might have to order a couple of packs and see if they're as good as I remember.
  17. That corked boomstick looks pretty cool too
