Great work! I use the Decoy threader. I usually do this to poop baits, as they are one of my primary presentations. Sometimes I pack a bunch into the nose and it darn near looks like a finesse jig when I'm done with it!

Ryugi R Snap. Super strong. The one pictured is 41lbs! Also very compact. I once you figure out how to open them, they are extremely easy. My favorite.

I have a question that I simply don't know the answer to as I don't have a wide array of crankbaits and this is literally the first time I've changed hooks. So I need insight to help with my ignorance. Thus far, no problems changing hooks on my Rat or Buzzjet Jr. However, on the OSP Buzzn, the snap ring is in line with the eye of the new hook. That is to say, when put on the snap ring the new hook is turned 90 degrees rather than pointing up. Is there a work around or solution for this?

It's for these reasons that I have on occasion heard the Ned called a "mini Shakey". On a Ned, you can get the same type of stationary movement using a small, buoyant bait with a bulbous tail. I use the Duo Realis Wriggle ND Slim to such an effect. Just the movement of the water is sufficient to have the bait moving. On lazy or tough days, this do nothing extra action is appreciated.

For those looking for less bulk than a Spunk Shad yet want the hunting, lively action..here's what I use. I've included bottom and profile photos. OSP Dolive Stick. OSP Action Trailer. The Action Trailer is much more versatile. You can mount horizontal or vertical. You can remove appendages. When I want bait fish like tail, I mount vertical and remove the 2 center appendages. When I want pure pin tail, I'll remove the "claws" and sometimes one of the center appendages. This really is a great, under the radar trailer.

That's the secret weapon. Better than the You-know-what hammer IMO. I've been trying to keep it a secret..and have done so for a couple years. They are very hard to get and not sold in North America, really. But people are starting to make videos about them all the cat will be out of the bag soon! Any guesses?

Yes, topwater crankbaits. OSP Buzzin' Crank, Deps Buzzjet Jr., Spro Rat 25, etc I have duplicates of each, so I can test as close to side-by-side as possible. But as you know, so much variability in topwater bite (at least in these parts). So I'm just trying to have some way of quantifying if they work, what deceased odds is supposed to look like, etc

What's "very low" percentage? OP caught 17 bass on this set up. And, for example, if I have 10 blowups...how many fish do you expect me to get? 1? 5? I'll find out next week! (If the weather cooperates)

Yes, that's pretty much how it works for my top water cranks anyways. No giant hookset. I am quite confident it will work perfectly in my application. I think the only instance where it may work less well for me is if the bass side swipes the lure.

That has not been my experience at all using circle hooks on other species, which I do plenty..They didn't have to "choke" it...just have their mouth closed around it. And once again, I'll point out that salt fisherman who spend hundreds and hundreds daily on fuel and several hours to get to their fishing spots use inline hooks. I personally don't think they'd be using them if odds were poor. This is also a thing (and has been for years) for trout and fly fisherman. I can see how changing something you've done for 65 years can be disconcerting. And I presume you've seen lots of changes over these years...some of which you've no doubt adopted. And some which you have not. I'll report back on my findings.

Disappointed it's not size for size replacement. I'm going ahead and replacing the trebles on all my wake baits. I primarily need a replacement for #6 trebles. By chance did you replace any #6 and what did you use?

I forgot to ask, but I think it's important. How do you size these? Did you just eyeball the treble and pick a similarly sized inline? Did you measure the gapb of the treble and match to inline? Or is it size for size? If your treble is a 1/0, is the inline a 1/0? Just wondering how these are sized since I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

The salt water/inshore guys seems like they've pretty much switched to inline hooks...and they're no less fanatical about gear and hookup rates than us...
