  1. Curado E lovers should get the JDM version scorpions. Way cheaper, exactly the same performance and easy to find.
  2. How dare anybody even believes that my bb Zillion could have issues from factory.
  3. The only time i gets broken in, is during shipping, when you get a three piece rod instead of a one piece one.
  4. Not my experience with any tats prior to digigear ones. Very smooth at first, but like most cheap reels, lose it pretty quickly.
  5. That depends what you consider as fine. From what i saw, they became way too noisy and grindy for my liking.
  6. I wonder how the 200 will survive over two season chunking glide baits and other large stuff.
  7. DC brakes patent have also run out, so expect daiwa to use em, and others use daiwa patented brakes. Not a bad thing tbh, competition on the same quality tech will only get us better products.
  8. I used to order from japantackle all the time. But ever since covid, he removed small packet airmail which was a pretty cheapo way of shipping, and now the only shipping option is through DHL, which is way overpriced. Haven't ordered a single thing since the change in ~2021.
  9. So glad we aren't dealing with this in Canada. A bit over a month ago i've ordered for around 140.000jpy of stock (rod, lures, a reel, etc) from Japan, and had to pay like $75cad in customs.
  10. You can't swap to a Tatula team when i've built my house on the Zillion team. When Daiwa wakes up, and puts back 34mm spools a normal zero adjuster in their Steez, i might move to that team, but they're a bit lost right now, so they might need to lose a bunch of sales on their Steez line before they change.
  11. I'd say that if you're someone who sees fishing gear as "tools", and you don't baby them, nothing high end is worth it. A $100 rod and a $200 reel is enough. Every person i know, or spoke to, if they don't take care of their stuff, they're the kind that wouldn't be able to tell a difference between a steez and a Tatula. Not everyone notices and cares about the smoothness and how silent high reels are. Same with rods.
  12. As a Tatutal hater since their introduction, the new tat100 and 200 are amazing for their price. And yes, their gears are as good as on the zillion, and the reason why they're this good. You can also see the gear price on PLAT, it's as expensive as on a zillion. Replace all bushing to bearings, and it's a Zillion 1.5.
  13. I use M and MH rods for both. On MH i prefer a Medium taper and on M rods a Medium Fast taper.
  14. I would get a used OG zillion for that price. A much better deal for around $50 than those cheapo reels.
  15. Usually don't go over 50lb, but after losing 3 musky lures ranging from $40-60, i now use 65lb as the highest pound test on my Z2020.
  16. Because its not a deal breaker, but a preference. And i prefer Daiwa reels over shimano. Not to mention that shimano has something something i can't stand.
  17. It's funny how i was shilling the Zillion being sold for $220 like six months ago, and now i don't even know how much it will cost.
  18. I see everyone from the US complaining about the tariffs and brokerage fees on youtube. Are y'all mostly buying locally now? And it's not like buying locally is cheap, especially when it comes to reels and rods.
  19. Was cleaning an og ryoga 1016 a few days ago, and these are truly the best built reels made to date. Wish every heavy duty reel was built exactly like it.
  20. And this is with fluoro mainly? Cuz i almost always use braid to a fluoro leader, and braid absorbs more water, especially thicker diameters. It's just crazy to me that you've never had it when the line lay on the spool becomes disastrous after the narrow section of the t-wing is frozen.
  21. The difference between ice accumulation on the standard line guide and the t-wing is that the line lay gets completely destroyed on the t-wing, while not much is happening on standard line guides. I don't understand how this is not something that has happened to you. Because there isn't just lateral play like on a normal line guide, but a decent amount of vertical play as well. It isn't difficult, it's just more stuff to do for no pros. Did you check the front top of your reels? By doing the bow technique, unless it's done at an angle, you cut the top section with line. On metal, it will only mess up the paint, but when the hood is made out of plastic like on the zillion, you will slice through it. I don't want one even for free. Nothing to prove, it's just yet another 13fishing tier noname brand. If it's not a Shimano or a Daiwa, it better be super cheaper for me to even bother with, which is usually not the case.
