  1. Meet Boone. Born 2/2/26. He came home Friday. And he's already a couch potato.
  2. It was 81 here yesterday. Spent 4 hours on the water. Biggest only went 4.6lbs. Quite the dink fest otherwise. I'll submit something when it is actually worth while.
  3. It's not that much bigger, but noticeable. 201k is what I have and it's been a great reel for me. I would think the 200M with the mgl should far outcast your greenie. It's honestly never been a problem. I do like to keep fresh line spooled every couple months.
  4. I use 70 size for pretty much all techniques. I have never once come close to running out of spool with 12 to 15lb co-poly. Small reels rule. I actually only have two bass reels now that are bigger than a 70. One is a 150 (Bantam) for use with 17-20lb line, the other is a 200 used for 20-25lb line for swimbaits and glidebaits. I sold all the others for 70's.
  5. Crazy the weather is. I am in western Washington and it is supposed to be 78 this weekend.
  6. The most comfortable I have fished for my large paws is a tie. I really love the ergo's of the Curado 51E and also the newer 70 size. The nod would probably have to go to the Curado 71 mgl's I have. The Bantam is similar to the 71 also, just a bit shorter feeling front to back, which becomes slightly more fatiguing to my hand.
  7. Pretty much all I use anymore is the Mayor.
  8. They are going to be in the areas they can be the warmest most likely. Don't discount structure that is sticking out of the water such as a log near the shore. With the outside air being warmer than water temps, it will heat that structure down into the water and the fish will hold tight to it. Fish super slow such as a ned or weightless texas rigged senko (Dingers are great as they have a much slower fall rate than Yamamotos), and also go big and throw big swimbaits to entice them. A cold fish will exert energy for a large meal. You can catch some big fish on big glidebaits in this exact scenario.
  9. I use the BPS Stalker sling pack and have been very happy with it. I see the price has gone up though. Don't quote me, but the two I have I think I paid $19.95 for them not but a couple years back. I also see they have a new one called the Prodigy. I have not seen in person, but doesn't look too bad online.
  10. It is easy for me. All my bass weigh 10lbs.
  11. Fancy.
  12. I have about 30ish bass rods. Maybe a little less. Haven't really counted. Last year I was on a kick to downsize and upgrade. Though I went through the upgrade process, I didn't get rid of anything as I don't really need the money. All of last year I found myself using only 4 rods for everything. I picked up some high end rods and they have been fantastic. I carry 7' BFS, 7' mh, 7'5" mh with a good backbone, and 8' h. With those 4 rods I have not found a technique I cannot cover yet.
  13. Riot Baits Fuzzy Beaver Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver
  14. Riot Baits Fuzzy Beaver has been my go to for years and it flat out produces.
  15. I hooked into an absolute UNIT on Saturday on a chad shad, but she threw the bait as I went to boat her. I was so defeated. Safe to say that was a 10 +.
  16. Received mine yesterday from TW. My status showed label created the whole time and then bam they were on my front porch. Never showed any shipping updates. They are a lot bigger than I had anticipated. Actually really stoked on these. They are like a more universal shallow running jerkbait. Not much shorter than a 110 JR, but a fatter profile. Going to head out tomorrow. Just trying to decide if I want to fish pre spawners or go wreck some smallmouth.
  17. With the regular Karashi...twitch twitch pause, twitch pause...twitch twitch twitch pause...in any order you want. I fish the bait at a medium pace, pausing for about 1 - 2 seconds, then get it moving again. You can't yank on it the way you do a jerkbait. Has to be quick little darty twitches with just wrist input. Keep it eratic. Dart it around, but pause an let them think about it for a second. That first move after the pause is when they usually hit it like a fleeing baitfish. With the 80 I am assuming you can put a little more rod input into it more like a jerkbait. I have not had much success with the underwater walk the dog steady retrieve.
  18. Bladed jigs. They are my nemesis. Bought some grass pieces to try this year. Maybe I will have better luck with those.
  19. Nice! Ordered 2x the bass color!
  20. I have only caught LM only on them. It is a great color!
  21. That is correct. Kasumi Ito is one of the best Megabass colors you can get. Also got mat shad and 2x baby kingyo cb as that is my most productive color in the regular karashi. The only other color I want is sh bass cs, but those sold out in seconds. Maybe on the next go round.
  22. You win.
