Other ways to use tube jig heads other than with tubes
I have somehow accumulated quite the supply of tube jig heads. Wondering what you all use these for other than rigging tubes? One idea that comes to mind is using them for a heavier weighted whacky rig. What other methods can they be useful for? I am not talking about ball heads, but the longer tear drop shaped heads.

Shimano Curado 200
I have had a total of 8 curado k's. Each and every one of them have been absolutely fantastic. I am down to only one now that lives on my swimbait rod. That will never get sold unless something comes along in the future that I view as superior for that technique. For everything else, I much prefer the 150 mgl for most techniques now. Have had various slx's. Do not really care for them. Still have them in the family, but they are now on my son's rods.

What's your bass fishing superpower?
I've always been pretty dang good with casting accuracy

Handedness: What hand do you hold rod with?
I can roll both ways easily, but I'm right handed and prefer to reel lefty.

I am glad you posted this. It just reminded me I have a bunch of salmon roe in the back of the fridge I need to take care of.

Do I need a designated swimbait rod?
Bait Monkey says yes.

The G.Loomis GLX and the NRX look like they're from 1994.
^this Don't like it, buy something else. I always have and always will appreciate the simplistic, utilitarian look of Loomis rods. I don't do bling.

Questions about Diawa tatula CT
Yes. If you want to reel with your left hand, get a lefty.

Do you still have OG reels in your rotation?
I have one curado 301e and two citica 201i's used regularly and the rest of my baitcasters are newer than 4 to 5 years old. I had a ton of 201e's, but have since moved on to newer models from shimano and daiwa.

BFS Rabbit Hole
I don't know what I think as I have never tried it. That is why I posed the question. I very much appreciate your detailed response. Money is not really a concern. If I am going to try this out, I am going to go all in the first time. If I find I love it, I do not want to be in the position of just wanting to upgrade again. I am currently moving away from that.

BFS Rabbit Hole
of the three rods, can you explain some differences and name your favorite overall?

BFS Rabbit Hole
As I am currently downsizing numbers and upgrading to high end gear, bfs comes to mind. It is something I have always wanted to try, but do not want yet another rod sitting around not getting used much. If I were to go this route and add one to my collection while I am trying to get rid of about half of what I have, my question to you all is this. Is it actually worth investing in? I know that is a subjective question, but do you find yourself enjoying bfs over a spinning setup to accomplish the same thing? I could always try it and sell it, I have always been curious, but is it truly VERY niche, or do you find it is a staple to you? I would most likely be looking at curado or aldebaran, matched up to a Cashion Icon 6'10" Medium Light, Cashion Icon 7' Light, or a Megabass Destroyer P5 Pop X Stick. What say you?

Best NRX+ Dock Skipping Spinning Rod
Never had hands on an 803, so I cannot comment. The 802 was my first Loomis spinning rod, and I bought it not knowing about the 852. I would have bought the 852 had I known what I know now.

Best NRX+ Dock Skipping Spinning Rod
Got ya. This threw me off: "but want to expand into other finesse techniques this season." I own the 802S. Personally don't like it at all. I gave it to my son since he is younger and doesn't care much. Nothing about the action feels great to me. Kinda dead in the hand imo.

Best NRX+ Dock Skipping Spinning Rod
So you are looking for a shorter, more finesse oriented spinning rod in the NRX+ lineup? I would look at the NRX+ 821S NRR and also the 822S DSR. The 821 is going to have a little faster tip vs the 822 going to be slower with a more moderate taper. I prefer the 822S personally, but both are great rods. If fishing more light finesse jigs and t-rigs, I would lean towards the 821.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
I really do not need much for this coming season, but just took advantage of the TW sale just to stock a few more odds and ends at a discount. Replenished some hooks and jig heads, got one more color of jerkbait I have been wanting to try, and also going to give a megabass vatalion a try is it was one of the last baits on my list for larger baits I wanted to experiment with.

How many "Average Joe" bass anglers do you think are out there who could dominate the pros?
He's saying the route to professional ball sports is honestly very low in price compared to professional bass fishing IF you have the talent. Join a team in high school...do well, and get recognized...earn a scholarship to college...do well and get recognized...get drafted to professional sports... Though the percentage of athletes that have the ability to do that is very low, it can be done for a relatively low price compared to professional bass fishing in which unless you start out with a huge pile of money, you are going to be paying A LOT to play at the same level. It is still a really fun topic to discuss!

I think you completely missed the point of my comment. You don't have to mansplain baseball to me. Been at it 40 years!
