I bet if you consider cutting to about 180/85 and then build back about 10lbs of lean muscle coming in at around 190/95 all said and done with your height you would be very happy with how you feel and very happy with the mirror test. Depends on what your goals are. One other note...if you are just trying to cut weight and NOT gain muscle...don't mix that powder with milk. Use water. And eat lots of high protein and high healthy fat foods.

200lb and 6 foot is not too far off from a healthy weight to begin with. But you have to consider muscle weight vs fat, and what is a good healthy weight for your body and your frame. Ajay just gave some great advice. Forget about the scale. I am 6'3" with very wide shoulders, but pretty skinny everywhere else, and my legs are very long with a 38" inseem. I feel the healthiest at around 190lb, and start to feel like I am getting fat at about 210lb. BUT I do not have a lot of muscle mass. I got the skinny genes.

As someone who has worked in healthcare for the last 24 years, I couldn't disagree more. 🤣 I would most likely ALWAYS listen to a specialist. 90% of them are very knowledgeable and really know what they are talking about. Anything coming from a family practice doc, fnp, primary care provider, etc...my advice is to take that with a grain of salt and do your own research as well, and, if needed, seek a second opinion from a specialist. Regarding my own health, I always skip the middle man (primary care providers) and go straight to the source (specialists). BUT I have the benefit of being able to cherry pick the doctor I am after since I know most the docs in my area. Heck, I do not even have a primary care doc anymore.

16-19 Metanium vs new Curado 150
Casting is apples to apples to me. Both are smooth and great casters. I feel the curado 150 palms a little better for me, and it sits closer to the rod if that matters to you. It's been a minute since I have had a 16 met (actually sold it when the curado 150 came out), but iirc it felt a little more solid in the hand, but not by much. The curado also has 6 brakes opposed to the 4 on the met. I think the curado looks much better cosmetically, but that is a mute point. For retail cost of the curado, you can get a 20 met from japan sites for approx $30 more. But that will have a smaller spool and smaller paddles than the US version. If I were choosing between a 16 met and a curado 150, I would choose the curado personally. Which I did and now own 5 of them. If paying retail, imho the curado mgl 150 is the best reel on the market for the money.

Thank you. Soaking this all in and processing. Not a lot of places around to get hands on these rods. Want to know what I am getting into prior to pulling the trigger sight unseen.

Considering upgrading to Imx Pro/NRX+
I really appreciate the feedback. I have a couple questions if anyone can make the comparison. How would you rate the 904c mbr vs the 894c jwr? Assuming the 894 will be a bit more stout. Will the 904c mbr perform in the same techniques as well as the 894? I prefer the lightest rod I can get away with and still fish comfortably and throw the larger baits. How does the 866c cbr df compare to the 903c cbr? Which would be the better choice for square bills to shallower/smaller cranks up to 8-10 ft? (keep in mind I have the 906c cbr) I am looking for: one all purpose spinning rod (already have 822s finesse rod) one all pupose casting rod to throw spinnerbaits, small swim baits, moving baits, and smaller topwater such as poppers one shorter casting rod to throw jerkbaits and weightless plastics one casting rod to throw smaller cranks and squarebills (already have 906c crank rod that is also used for bladed jigs) one heavier casting rod to throw larger swim baits and pitching/flipping heavier jigs, and topwater frogs

Considering upgrading to Imx Pro/NRX+
I am thinking about selling off all my current rods, downsizing my rod numbers, and having fewer quantity Imx Pro/NRX+ rods. I'm getting to the point that I no longer desire to have 20+ bass rods in my arsenal. I just want 4 to 6 high end casting combos and one or two spinning combos that I will actually use regularly. Please keep answers specific to Imx Pro/NRX+ lines, though I am really after NRX+. If you could choose 4 casting rods, and 1 spinning rod, which specific models would you choose to cover all types of fishing? What I currently have that I will keep: IMX Pro 906c cbr 822s dsr What I have in mind: 1. 812c jbr 2. 843c mbr 3. 844c mbr 4. 903c cbr 5. 852s jwr How far off am I? On the right track? I could do away with one of the 843/844 in lieu a longer heavier rod for bigger baits/swimbaits/etc.

You can't teach courage. You can't teach heart. Etc.
This could not be more spot on. I see this year after year. I have been coaching select travel baseball for decades now. Living up north, we have some cold winters, and it is dark a lot. We actually refer to the winter as the "winter grind". Not every player shows up. It is cold. It can get boring and monotonous. But those players who keep grinding day after day, week after week, wreak the results and it pays off ten fold for them when it comes time to perform in the spring and summer. It takes a lot of heart to stick with that and I am always amazed at these young men. They have taught me more than I will ever teach them about life in general.

Get the four of the same reel, or mix it up?
I've gravitated towards buying different sizes and speeds of one reel line. Though there's obvious differences in ergonomics and size, I like having the familiarity of one platform. I've tried enough brands and sizes to know what I like at this point in life.

Those who don't use a plastic trailer with a spinnerbait...
2025 will be my first year trying bladed jigs. Just got some good ones from @Siebert Outdoors to try. My plan is to try them with trailers. I never use trailers on a spinnerbait.

Curado 200e7
If looking on ebay, it will take awhile to find a lefty, especially if looking for near mint quality. Just have to keep checking everyday. There is a 6:1 51e on there now that looks good for $175, but sounds like you are after a 201e7.

Why not Cabelas?

Do you plug your ICE engine vehicles block heater in overnight or only a few hours before use?
The 7.3 powerstroke gets plugged in over night when its freezing temps. That one lives outside and not in the shop.
