Strong arm
I am right handed, and literally do everything right handed, but I only buy left handed reels. I prefer not to have to keep switching my rod back and forth between hands after casting, and also prefer my dominant arm to actually fight the fish. The left hand just spins circles. It seems much more natural.

Who Carries Daily.....and What Do You Carry...and Why..?
Many reasons. Probably the most important being quick sight acquisition in a high stress situation. This allows you to maintain threat focus and acquire targets quickly and accurately by improving sight picture and removing sight alignment from the scenario. They also make it more intuitive for the human eye and brain to focus on the point of aim. Plus every round fired has a lawyer attached to it. I'll take the advantage of knowing my poa/poi more precisely than with traditional irons in a high stress situation.

Does rod weight matter to you??
Very much matters to me. The lighter the better.

I carry a G43x daily with RDS and light. What logic do you think makes you change the way you have to carry? My smaller G43 and larger G19 all carry the same as my G43x with the obvious size frame differences. I use the same brand/model holster for all three. Only the G19 requires a little baggier clothing to not print.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Unfortunately no pics. But landed a baker's dozen LMB from the yak on Saturday over the course of 3 hours. Was forced to leave when the lightning started. Every single one of them caught on the outside weed line to open water and all on a 1/2 oz Dobyn's beast shimmer shad double willow.

I want one but can't decide between chrome gill or rainbow trout- Co Poly Lines
I must be lucky then. I respool twice every year with the fluoroclear on about 60-70% of my setups, and have never had an issue with that line what so ever. I use 10, 12, 15, and 20lb. It holds up great, never breaks anymore than any other plastic line (which is usually just me breaking it off on a snagged lure), has very low memory, and casts like a dream. And it is pretty inexpensive to boot. I have tried the true fluoro lines that cost 3 to 4x as much, and have no real world results to justify spending the extra coin, and I genuinely do not like that they do not stretch much at all. My swimbait, salmon, and stealhead gear all get maxima green mono (great line too), and the one rod I have that I use braid on is power pro super slick v2 which is also great. You absolutely cannot go wrong with using P-line floroclear. It is a great, inexpensive line. But there are also other options that will be just as good.- Rod/reel submerged

Midway USA?- Seriously
The wife and I have had separate "play" checking accounts from day one. As in, that is our money to do with as we please that is separate from savings, retirement, required bills, etc. This works well for us as neither can complain to the other about spending "our" money. As far as how she feels about my fishing hobby...we are extremely busy people. Three kids, multiple club sports, and I have been coaching select tournament baseball for the better part of the past decade that is a year round ordeal. She knows I need me time once in awhile, and never complains when I need to take some time to get on the water and decompress from life. She does the same through running. Takes a couple four hours to herself to go on a nice long trail run up in the mountains.
