Safe Boat
I will keep this short Yes it will work but you don't have the knowledge too safely do it so look for a semi v or mod v welded hull Jon that is 48 to 54 inch on the bottom and 16 foot long with a strong 50 to 60 horse motor on it. Also the first year or two don't go out unless you have someone in the boat with you with a good number of years of boating knowledge to teach you how to handle it hands on. Hope this helps you sir.

Old 88 is the only shotgun Mossberg ever made that was worth haveing. About the after market tatical cool stuff check with your state if it's legel too hunt with the gun with those parts on it. Mine has a custom aftermarket choke and it shoots 2 3/4 mag 6 lead and 3 inch 1 1/8 2 shoot steel the best. I don't shoot buckshot throw it have a custom single shot for that.

Lol, a man can only fish so much between work and getting ready for deer season plus going hog hunting. But I will be on the water today.

Y'all ready for deer season?
Yea that would work, but I would rather just keep my cash and not lose any more cameras. What I do know is scout old school boots on the ground and time in the woods tracking sign and reading trails, and keeping a journal of where I find sign and where I see deer and what kind of deer I see. That's why i kill every year on that wma and most people don't even get a shot all season, but it takes along walk every day to get to where I hunt lol.
-
Y'all ready for deer season?
Yep those are some nice bucks. I wish I could use trail cameras where I hunt but they would just get stole again. Dang game wardens are the worse theif's in the woods around my house.

Water color in the back areas of San Miguel where I live and fished today is very dirty still. Salvana is floating everywhere due to the creeks being flushed with all the rain last week. Will have anouther report tonight, I can still catch two more keepers today and I'm taking dad this evening, look for my post tonight. Ohh one more thing winds have been on the increase all day main lake has white caps right now.

Bow is tune up waiting on new arrow rest to come in just put on new bow sight tonight, waiting on a few things to tweak my arrow setup, rifle is resighted and cleaned and ready, primitive rifle is resighted cleaned and ready. No food plots because I hunt wma land only. Got a trip planned in October to Oklahoma to a freinds lease for ten days, so got most of my gear packed and ready for that. New camo has arrived for this year so yea I'm just about set for our October 1st archery season opener.

Calling doves
Doves don't call to each other when in flight. What we have done and tends to work good is when hunting along a tree line or power line and a dove lands down a ways from you sit still and make the three note call that does do when they are sitting or eating and they will jump and come in for a look see. But to my knowledge your not going to be very successful calling Doves like you can call ducks and geese. We worry more about hunting where they are feeding or going to water, even better if there is a power line or tree line next to it, if it's a tree line look for a dead tree, that will be the tree they land in. Hope this helps you sir.

14 ft jon boat
We need to see some pics and some specs on the boat? Year model Make Bottom width Transom height Motor rating Title Trailer What condition is the bottom of the boat in is it still good or all dented and wash boarded up.

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Good job, my brother in law fished today didn't find much at all. The water is still high and dirty from the rains and the salvana is like you said everywhere due to it being washed out from the severe currents that got kicked up from the creeks draining. I will be on the water at day light, with this moon tonight and the wate r dropping and current increasing its going to start picking back up tommorw.

12ft Jon
Weldbuilt builds the widest bottom boat in that length take a look at their 1248 meaning 12' long and 48" wide on the bottom. That gives it a beam of about 60 inches meaning you can run up to a 25 horse outboard or a 23 horse copperhead surface drive. The wide bottom is what you need to be stable when setting hooks and pulling the trigger on a duck. Us cajun's down here on the swamp Know all too well how too get it done in a small flat with a sup'd up motor. A 12x48 can be handled easily by one person loaded down with gear. Hope this helps you sir. Thats true but the wider the bottom on a flat the wider the beam, thats why a wider bottom will be better for stablity. Wider bottom displaces more water and spreads out weight more it also planes faster and takes less power to get on step and stay on step

OK! Braid!
That's right I forget how long it stays open, been too many years since I fished my old stompin waters. I need to start making a yearly trip back there.

Favorite topwater?
Any of the stanely frogs, but the baby ribbet is the bomb for me works day or night and up until the water temp drops to 60 degrees.
