Raw material slitting & mill operations.80% of the steel we slitted was for auto parts.Whatever steel we scrapped and didn't use I wouldn't be surprised if you guys got.Scrap metal was hurting for awhile there too.

Upsize or Downsize?
I start big and go smaller.I don't fish tourneys,so i like to try and catch something for the day. I've gotten down to 1 1/2" lures before and started getting bites.Talk about being finicky and picky.

what do you like about bass fishing
Indeed. Nature, wildlife, water, bass . . . . magical peace. That's how it is for me. Relaxing....Nothing beats stress than being outdoors by the water.

What do you think these are worth?
I'd say $8-$12 a piece given what sizes they are. Those are some awesome lures.I couldn't see why they wouldn't sell for that much.

Ice Scraper recommendations??
My wife brought a $25 one last year and so far it's been holding up for her. I've broken 5 of them in 6 years that I've been here. I'm in need of a new one as well for this year..... ;D I miss Texas.

Another Senko Thread... Patience... Dont have any...
That may be true, but once you learn 2 + 2 = 4, you don't need to learn it again. Ok, now I've learned to be patient, why keep repeating the lesson? That actually doesn't make any sense...if you don't apply what you learn then you never really did learn anything.

H2O XPRESS lures anyone have any experience with them???
They get the from me. You can fish them a little more aggressive without worrying about losing them like the more expensive baits.
-
Another Senko Thread... Patience... Dont have any...
Ditto!I agree! There was one thing here that taught me something...if you think you are going too slow...slow down even more. You'd be amaze how well that works....specially with stickbaits like the senko.

Carolina Rigs
Like Bassin_Fin@tic mentioned,if you fish rocky areas they actually work better.I wish i could find them in brass.

what do you do with used hooks
Nothin' to talk about. Hooks are the most important equipment we use and compared to everything else, "expensive" hooks are cheap! 8-) That's a big waste of money in my eyes.Even if that lure has been tied on for 15-30 minutes, not catching anything? You guys are still tossing them overboard? If that's the case send them hooks to me! ;D Many of times I will have a stickbait on and switch to a tube with a jig.I have a little compartment space for used plastic with hooks already rigged.I may go back to it later on during the day when i move to another spot.It comes in handy when it's already pre-rigged.

Some thoughts on hook removal
How many people actually have problems trying this? Because for the life of me...this method isn't exactly the easiest thing to do.Specially on fish under 2#. My last fish i killed because it was kept out of water too long. Not to mention i probably stressed it out as well. You almost need to practice this method in order to get it right. I gut hook maybe one-two fish a year...I just end up either keeping the catch or giving it to somebody who is keeping their catch.
