A.Do?

Yeah, I'm not expecting to catch much. Just want to wet a line. Was thinking of throwing drop shots, suspending jerk baits, and maybe some road runners for panfish. Maybe I should try and find some trout water....

What's everyone been up to? I haven't been out in awhile and the last bass I caught was at Meeeercer at the beginning of November. I've been itchin to get out and fish and was thinking of doing some fishing this weekend. I'm not sure where to go and I'd rather not fish alone. Who's free? I was just thinking of doing some shore fishing but am open to suggestions. Happy Holidays!

if you have email capability on your phone you can email them to yourself or me and then upload them to a site like photobucket or flickr? thats just what I do. i'm sure there are other options out there. PM me if you want to email the pix or picture text them to me and i'll put them up here. I've found the huntsman gets murky very easily with any amount of rain and i've never seen it very clear :-? What are the fishing biting right now?

I know exactly how you feel. I never have luck there either. I've caught maybe 3 fish from there before tuesday. On tuesday, I got four so i consider that an excellent day for me. I was using small stuff. a 3/16 black/chart spinnerbait and a 1/16 roadrunner (orange head/white grub trailer). I just fished everything really slow.

Mercer not in lorton? ;D sorry.. But yea thats what I meant. I wasn't sure if that was you. Then I thought, who else would be. ;D Wind was bad and we only stayed an hour or so. Mercer is still considered fairfax I believe. It was mudkart and I in my kayak and my buddy Jeremy, who you may remember from the Rapidan., in his own kayak Were you the first set of guys there at around 10? I remembered seeing 5 or so other guys fishing. Didn't look like anyone was having any luck. Did you? Funny thing was, I was tellin Mike about you and how you were with me on my maiden voyage !

Lorton? Afraid not. Mudkart and I hitup Mercer on the yak and almost sank. We didn't fare too great. The wind was killer and we ended the day with only four hookups. Were there Hobie's out in Lorton? :-?

Maybe it's just me but I'd like to have the safety because my firearm is NOT always in my holster. As I'm new to concealed carry, I like the added assurance that my firearm won't have an inadvertent discharge. Flipping the safety shouldn't take you that long to do. It's not like we're in the wild wild west! ;D I have a usp compact .40 and love it. Glocks are love or hate gun to most. Go rent a gun at a range and make sure you like the feel of the gun in your hands before you buy. Don't skimp on the holster either! A good IWB holster will make concealed carry 100x better. If you have the money and time, a milt sparks versa max is hard to beat! It has a wait list and often goes for 2x the retail value on ebay!

I'm actually looking for a unit with a biult in GPS as this will be goin on a kayak Right now, I'm looking at the lowrance 522c iGPS and the 527c iGPS but unsure if they dual beam tranducer is worth the extra money. Any suggestions? I'm also looking at a few of the 5xx series Humminbirds but not sure which ones come with an internal GPS :-? Thanks again guys, greatly appreciate the help.

Not too great. I'm thinking I might have to learn to use a baitcaster right handed . I'm going to see a doctor to make sure there's nothing seriously wrong with my wrist.

Looking for the best GPS/sonar (fishfinder, whatever you may call it) for under $500. I have very little experience with these units and am currently using a Humminbird piranhamax 2xx portable unit. Looking to upgrade to a unit with GPS, as I dont see a point in finding drop offs and structure if I can't mark it for later. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated! ;D Current unit I'm looking at is the Humminbird 383C

Not to burst your bubble but they are almost always 79.99 at my local dicks'. I really liked the combo though. I had two before they fell to the bottom of a local lake . I hope you like the combo as much as I did!

Very nice bass! Replicas don't come cheap! I wanted to get one of my PB but thought I'd atleast get a citation size before doin so. 3/8oz spinnerbait is one helluva lure to be throwing on an UL. It feels odd enough on my MLF. Whatever works! Again, great bass!
