I just went tubing on the potomac but I remember seeing fishing available from the company we went with, River Riders. Don't know if that'll help.

Taking the whole week (8/18-8/22) off and dedicating Monday, Tuesday, and possibly Wednesday to fishing. Anyone free? I'm up for anything (day or night) and anywhere within an hour of me (Alexandria). I just want to fish There are a couple places I want to hit but I'm always up for something different so I'm open to suggestions. And if anyone is up for it, I'll have an extra seat in my Kayak. Let me know! I'll be fishing regardless but it's always better to have company! ;D

My biggest LMB of this year was 5lbs. 9oz. caught with a senko from shore. 5 best only come up to about 18.5lbs. Unfortunately, I still haven't broken th 1lb mark for a SMB yet (ever) on a side note. whats with the title? :-?

really depends on the river and the rainfall it gets. the first time i was there the water was pretty calm and clear and the current wasn't too fast. The last time though, the current was a lot faster and clarity was much worst. This is going to be my part of my anniversary day with the girlfriend so I hope to "coincidentally" bump into you guys at the park. : PM me for details.

I've heard that they are! You didn't attempt to pitch/flip into that stuff with tubes, creatures or jigs? I was watching a show on TV where they were doing this with heavy tackle and it looked pretty productive.

Don't think it's crosspointe, Mepps lives no where near the fairfax area if thats the one you're talkin about.

I've had decent luck there the last two times I was there but it's hard to figure something out there. One day the fish will hammer one thing and the next day you won't even get a nibble on the same lure. When I was there they were into natural colored tubes and relating close to rocks, since then I've heard from other anglers that they've gone deep and are harder to target!
