  1. I fished a tourney at bow a couple of years ago. We must have seen over 100 fish swimming in the shallows and could not catch them no matter what we did. I've never had such a frustrating experience as that before. I only hooked up with one fish the whole day and she broke off. My partner caught 2 small keeper....and won the tourney. Slow Bow indeed
  2. x2 I love this bait
  3. x3 on this my PB was caught at night as well. I've fish all different times of night and day and I think that the only time that fishing is bad is when I'm not on the water
  4. Looks like the fall bite is on. Jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, and bigger fish. I've got to spend more time on the water, before our short fall season ends.
  5. Glad I could help This year has been a great success for me. Goals: 1) Catch a new PB 2) Catch a bass over 5 lbs 3) Catch 300+ bass this year 4) Develop more confidence in non-plastic baits 5) Learn to Fish a Jig 6) Get away from the Senko 7) Take my dad fishing as often as I can So Far i've done great 1) New PB over 7lbs 2) 3 bass over 6 lbs this year 3) So far caught 277 bass (but the season isn't over yet) 4) My PB was caught on a cavitron and one 6 lber was caught on a spinnerbait....I'm definitely comfortable fishing non-plastics now 5) I have had a couple of good Jig days. Thanks PAIN for teaching me the jig.....I still need to really work on this next year 6) FAILED at this... I still love the Senko although I have been working on new ways to fish it this year. 7) This has been the best of all. Taking my dad out for on a regular basis and being able to spend time together. Next years goals so far 1) Develop my jig fishing 2) Devlop my crankbait fishing 3) Start Swimbaiting I'd like to thank this forum and all of the great members on it for helping to make me a successful angler. Without this site I would never would have had a season as great as this one. THANKS!!!! -Chuck
  6. Well here's the Pic of my 6lber. Unfortunately I realized that the fish is so big that he blocks out any logo of the shirt...lol. The pic of the smaller fish will show that I'm not lying, you can see the sleeve logo on that one. Thanks again for the shirt LBH.
  7. I usually go out with 5 to 7 rods. The only thing I always have rigged up is a senko. Everything else depends on the water conditions, season and weather. I've fish some lakes that are crystal clear and some that are full of junk weeds and dirty. It just depends on the conditions
  8. What if i just catch a Bass over 5 lbs while wearing the Hoodie? Do I get anything free? Joking of course. I did christen the hoodie just yesterday with a 6lber on a spinnerbait. Love the Hoodie LBH. Hopefully you'll have tee shirts for next summer as well.
  9. Great story. Love the Cavitron....caught my PB on it this year at 1am in the morning

x2 on the KVD spinnerbait video. As already mentioned. Try them on a real windy day. Just yesterday I introduced another member here to spinnerbait fishing on a small lake. It was super windy and we only caught a few fish, but one of those fish was over 6 lbs. I'm sure he'll be hooked from now on. Keep it simple as well. Most of my spinnerbait fishing is done with simple white spinnerbaits with willow leaf blades
  11. Thanks Jay. And thanks Dave for putting the pics up. It's funny, The day was super windy and very hard to control the boat. I als had a migrane headache for no reason almost the whole time. Yet just one fish makes it totally worth it. ;D I caught her on a spinnerbait. It was a spinnerbait day for sure. I didn't even feel the hit at first. I think she just sucked it in as a pulled it through the pads. At one point she went under the boat and i had my rod almost all the way in the water. I thought i was going to lose her at that point. Hope everyone else is enjoying the fall weather fishing
  12. Like others have said trailer hook will help if the conditions allow it. I caught my PB on a cavitron buzzbait and I have never been so glad to have a trailer hook on my bait.
  13. Raul this is a cool idea. I would never have thought of this. Right now I mostly fish green. I just have more confidence in it, since I tend to fish fairly dark water
  14. That was great. Thanks for sharing

x2 on the powertabs. It really helped me alot when i first got started. Another piece of advice. As you start to develop your skill you will reach points where you don't feel like your getting better. Just be patient. Instrument skills come in leaps and jumps not always in a steady improvement. If you feel like you get stuck on something don't get discouraged and just keep playing. Eventually you'll have another growth spurt.
  16. I prefer Cd's if i can find the album I want easily. If not then I'll download it. I just find it easier to keep track of cd's then keeping my downloads managable. Plus when I'm flipping through my cd cases i can look at cd's and have memories connected to each and ever one. I don't find the same connection with intangible downloads. I was a DJ for a few years, and have thousands of cd's and also 4 or five cases of vinyl records and still play them all.
  17. 7lb 1oz PB caught on Cavitron buzzbait from shore at 11pm this summer
  18. I was at BPS the other day talking to a Pro (I can't remember his name), after he had done one of those tank demo's and he kept recommending a certian bug spray to use as a scent. He swore by it up and down. He didn't seem to be sponsored by them. So who knows maybe bug sprays and sunscreens will be the next wave in bass tackle ;D
  19. Good to see everyone out on the water. Pain...i'm willing to bet you were fishing a different lake then Canobie. Glad that you had such a great day out there. Got out with my Dad again this past week. The bite was slow only 5 fish overall, and only 3 bass. I did pull up a nice 4lber just deadsticking in the middle of a canal. -tight lines

sweet baby ray's is great, one of my favorites
  21. That doesn't really make sense. I'm not saying put the animal down or not, I don't really hunt and don't know the answer to the original question. But saying that laws are always ethical is historically untrue. Laws are designed to cover most situations. The law is an adaptable creation that is always changing. According to your thinking Rosa Parks was unethical for not sitting in the back of the bus because it was illegal. Ethics by definition are the conceptual structures which are supposed to be used to define the law. The law is the attempt at the application of ethics to real world situations for the good of a society. Unfortunately laws are not always used this way and are not always ethical.
  22. Ejtaylor...pm sent
  23. No idea, i'm sure it's on some USA sites as well. A friend at work forwarded to me from that link and figured i'd share it here as well

  25. Really great work...nothing beats a well made gift you did yourself. Do You build custom rods for bassresource members as well? Cause i've been really impressed with what i've seen and might be interested in a custom build soon.
