It worked a little differently in my house. I told the wife she could get a new couch if I could get a new boat. It's a win-win situation for me. I've got my boat, and now when I get in trouble I don't mind sleeping on the couch. It's brand new and very comfortable ;D

I'm spending the weekend getting my boat ready and installing new electronics. I'm dying here waiting for the ice to melt. Also I'm moving shortly to the Peterborough area. If anyone is in that area looking to fish, or knows and good small lakes to start at let me know. Thanks

I use the pre-rigged setup sometimes. I notice no difference between the pre-rigged or making it myself. Like many things in fishing it is more a matter of confidence then anything else.

I did the same thing the other day. I walked in looking for a crankbait rod and somehow I walked out with the crank rod I wanted.....and a mojo rod for worms and jigs. I'm not even sure what happened

I have the capricorn spinning reels that were a dicks exclusive. As others have said they are always on sale. However sometimes they actually have them on real sale and can get them pretty cheap. I think they are good reels for the money, and have never had a problem with them

Me too, I am a pro at forgetting the drain plug. I am good at avoiding the skunk. I always seem to catch something...now if I could only make the fish bigger ;D

like many have said here, I've hardly ever use a trailer, but always use a trailer hook. I caughy my largest bass ever on the trailer hook of a cavitron buzz baits.

As other have said.....It's a great idea. My greatest weakness right now is structure fishing and would love to take an on the water "class" on it.

still pretty iced up where we are at. We had a nice warm weekend, followed by a monday full of snow and more ice. It seems like the winter will never end. I was down at BPS last weekend picking up some stuff, and now i'm going stir crazy after getting some new gear

For some reason I really like band names that are statements or partial sentences. Ex: As I lay dying, Rage against the machine, System of a down, ...and you will know us by the trail of dead. I just think it's more interesting then The beatles, The strokes, etc...

I've been playing for about 7 months. I've got a Gibson SG clone and a Dean ML I try and play at least a little bit everyday. It's the only thing that keeps me sane through the winter

I think a review section would be great. I've seen it done on other forums with success. The key seems to be to have some sort of format for the review kind of like tackle tour does. Every review should be broken into sections Price Perfomance appearance ect

Thanks guys. I don't know if the tone has changed yet, I haven't had a chance to restring it and play it. I'm not to worried though it was a pretty cheap acoustic. I'll let you guys know once I get around to playing it again.

Yeah, this winter is killing me. I'm just getting by one day at a time till I can get back on the water. Working full time and going to school keeps and taking care of a toddler does keep me busy. Any free time I get I spend playing guitar....though I find lately I keep being drawn to the blues...I can't wait till ice out
