  1. I have one. I like it, as stated it's just a fancy premier, but I think that the premier is a pretty decent rod. I did however come across a st Croix legend for $160 last week. Now that is a great rod for an awesome price.
  2. I have the pelican. I love that little boat. Unsinkable, stable, like a floating suitcase. It's not the lightest boat that's for sure. But you if your just dragging it off a pickup or down into the water it's really not bad. I just didn't want to pay the extra for the bass hunter
  3. Thanks for all the comments guys. I'm glad to have a great forum like this where I can share something like this.
  4. The best place to get Clark's at is Northern Bass. It's cheapest there. I've seen it at wal-mart as well but it's more expensive
  5. Happy B-day!!! Think of tickets like presents from security. It shows that they really care about you. Speaking of tickets, my parents just recieved a letter at their house for a parking ticket for me ( I haven't lived with them for 5 years)....from 2005....for a car that I haven't owned since 2002. I'm pretty sure I won't be paying that one.
  6. Thank's guys. My son is 1 year and 10 months right now. He has no idea what fishing is but he knows I like it, therefore he likes it right now also.
  7. Here's a few pics of my son,Jonah, on his first fishing trip. I had to test out some new gear and figured I'd bring him along with the shakespeare rod that he picked out last time we were at Dick's. He's got a little crankbait at the end with no hooks. Now he can't cast but he loves to slap the water with the lure and say "Dad Fish". I'm pretty sure I have the next KVD on my hands.

Gammie's for me. They are good quality and available almost everywhere I go. I have used owner's and mustad as well and like them. I just have a harder time finding them
  9. I fish a pond that is mostly 4-6 feet deep except for one channel that's right around th 12-13 foot depth. I pulled a 6 1/2 pounder out last year as well as a few 4's. Those are pretty good sizes for up where I'm at in NH.
  10. Nice Job!!. What a great way to start the season.
  11. At this time of year I fish later in the day, after giving the water a chance to warm up, instead of in the morning. I'm also searching for the warmest water that I can find, especially if there are springs feeding water into the lake
  12. Congrats on the new boat. It's always nice to build your own boat the way you want it.
  13. Hey KingJames. Welcome to the board and NH fishing. I'm moving in a month toward the Keene area. I'm going to be learning the lakes up there too. Good luck, you'll find alot of great info on here. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or just want to get out on some water. Got out today, no catches but we did have three hits and I lost a nice smallie near the boat. water was 41 degrees. I saw a whole bunch of perch and some pickeral real shallow. It felt great to get back on the water even if we didn't catch anything today.
  14. Going to try to get out this weekend. I stopped by a few of my favorite lakes and most are pretty frozen. Pain I sent you a message as well about this weekend.
  15. I'm glad that I found this thread. i thought i was the only one who has not been fishing floro and was convinced that I was missing out. I'm use Triline or Suffix for most of my fishing. Although I am considering trying some of the copoly's like P-line or Yozuri Hybrid. I just want a line that I don't have to worry about so i can spend my time fishing and not retying
  16. Sadly i do care about how my gear looks. I don't think it is the most important part of my decision to buy something. However at the same time I think my zillion looks sexy
  17. I have the same problem Tin. I just put all of my tackle up on the wall of my new garage and almost everything i own is some shade of green brown or blue/black.
  18. 90% of the time I like to fish with someone else. I really enjoy the company and the ability to fish different lures and try different things with another person. The only time I really like to fish alone is when I go float tubing in some of the quiet ponds around me.
  19. Thanks Yakfish. I'll check out that place. Well got the boat all set up. now I'm just waiting to get it in the water.
  20. if your new motor is a tiller then i'd definitely take the console out. Why would you want it if you don't need it to steer? Other then that it wouldn't change much
  21. This is why I bought a waterproof phone. It makes my life so much easier when on the water
  22. Looks great. I've got a grizzly as well. I love those little boats
