Yum Money Minnow?
i've had good luck with these baits. I use them night fishing sometimes as well, when the water is real calm and fish want a more subtle retrieve

Ever do this?

How many fishing rods do you have?
9 rods total 7 that i use regularly i'd have 11 if my wife hadn't decided that i needed some shorter rods by closing a door on them and snapping them

Cavitron Trailer
i always use trailer hooks, i don't find it getting hung up on any more weeds then usual. When i hooked up on my PB with a cavitron, i sure was glad I had to hooks. I've also caught multiple fish just on the trailer hook. I'd rather add the extra hook then lose the fish

Incredible Fishing Discovery
i used to use a scale, but i think it was cheating on me When I weighted fish on my scale they started weighing a pound under what i think they should have weighed. And when i weighed my friend's fish, they always seemed to way a pound more then i think they should have

Lakers vs. Celtics
Was able to catch the end of the game on the radio last night. It turned out to be a perfect night. I stopped at a local pond on the way home from work, fished from shore and listened to the last quarter on the radio with my car doors open. It's good to be green!!

line conditioners?
x2 works great with braid as well. I've seen a definite increase in the performance of my line since using it

Really wierd call from Bassmaster...anyone get one???
scam for sure. I do outbound calling sometimes for my job, and when i'm doing that do not have a direct extension, but i definitely have a contact number for the company or someone else that they can call back. No legit company is going to not have a number. In fact it's national law that you have to have a call-back number when soliciting buisness

Anyone still use trilene XL?
i use other lines as well, but XL still works just great for me

Night Fishing
As usual Catt you put it better then I could. What I meant is what you said, Areas that are full of traffic during the day often have bass that are now willing to bite at night. So don't overlook spots that during the day you would avoid because of traffic or heavy shore fishing

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Been wondering where you were at Pain Got back this week from vacation at a lake up near Sunapee. Boy was it great, the fishing was awesome with many smallies in LM in the 2-4.5 pound range. The spinnerbait bite was great, and I also worked on some new techniques that I have not been successful with before. I caught over 40 quality fish, and the best part was that I could go out for a couple of hours, come back, park my boat at the dock and walk right into my cabin for lunch, and then go right back out again. Jaystraw came up for a couple of mornings and we did pretty good on those days, although Jay had a little trouble bringing the fish to the boat for awhile there ;D Hope everyone else is have as much luck as I have had this year

Night Fishing
Catt I feel like you've posted this before in a few night fishing threads I agree that using the same baits will work, but locations can be different sometimes. What i mean by this is at night i find that boat ramps and rip-rap near the ramp, which are busy all day and keep the fish away will usually hold a couple of nice bass late at night.

How often do you use a spinnerbait trailer?
trailer hooks always, trailers never, i've just never seen a need for them on spinnerbaits. although i do fish a few that have the perfect skirt built in trailer thing

zoom toads in the morning
i don't have a pic of this, one was posted sometime last year, but i rig my frog up with 2, usually 5/0 hooks. I put the eye of both hooks through a split ring at the front of the frog, t-rig each hook with the hook points spread out at the back of the frog. so it's narrow at the front of the frog where both hooks go in, and i spread the hooks out at the back. This creates a nice keel, keeps the frog upright and has greatly improved my hook-up percentage. A little hard to describe, but i hope this helps

Heaviest Smallmouth...
6 pounds 2oz in a small trout pond in NH, thought i had a rock at first

Pond Hopper/Pelican boat question
mine had drain plugs as well but i also knew a guy who had a pelican that was cracked all the way down the side. The pontoons would fill w/ water everytime he was on the water, but the foam was bouyant enough to always keep it floating just fine with 1 or 2 people in it

falcon tackle storage question
the spinnerbait box is great. It does bend the arm down slightly, but i've never had any damaged to any of my baits. And it's the only tackle box i've found that adequately holds spinnerbaits in place in an easy to access manner

Warning: You Might Get Your Arm Broke!
Been away at a cabin for a week, and on 2 of the 7 days i fished, the only action i got was on this kreature bait, or twin tailed grubs. I fished them weightless and twitched em in slowly. Neither the smallies or the bucketmouths could seem to resist it. Another great bait to add to my arsenal

Fishing Partner Wanted
Hey bob, There are plenty of guys from NH here, i'm one of em over in concord. In fact there's another thread here running 55 pages strong from NH anglers. It may just be a problem of finding someone who can fish your schedule. I get out of work at 11pm down in Merrimack so i'd never be able to make it to Winni by midnight. But if you ever are looking to got at either a later or different time, i'd be glad to take a trip or 2 out this summer. Always looking for new fishing partners. -Chuck

Buzzbait Question
I night fish from shore alot, usually right from a ramp where people fish all day and catch nothing. In my experiance I can usually expect 2-3 fish out these spots on a regular night in about 40 min. After I catch those fish there are either no fish left, or all of the commotion of fighting the fish have scared the other fish off. So usually it's no more then 45 min per spot for me, before I move on

- Whats funner to catch Large or Smallmouth Bass
smallies do fight harder. However I personally prefer fishing for Largemmouth. I like the act of targetting lillypads under docks, and fishing in timber. Largemouths tend to hang out more in the junk, and that's what i like fishing. Although I had the opportunity this past week to fish a lake that has a large number of both smallies and Largemouths. It was a lot of fun. With over 40 fish caught in the week you never knew what you were going to pull out of the water. - Whats funner to catch Large or Smallmouth Bass
