  1. Also I highly doubt what Hannon is saying comes out of jealousy. It's not like he would have the world record if Perry's fish was discounted so what would be his gain? I'm not even a Hannon fan, but don't see what he would have to be jealous of. Imo, it's just his honest opinion.
  2. C'mon it may or may not be Perry's fish, but it isn't Perry. His own family is saying that. The picture isn't so poor that his own family wouldn't recognize him and they all seem to say it isn't him. It really doesn't matter though the picture really doesn't prove anything besides two people are holding a very big fish. Could be anywhere between 13-25 lbs. I doubt the weight personally, but that doesn't matter. Perry did what was required of him at the time and the record is his. Me or anyone else saying it was or isn't the record is just a guess.
  3. Holy crap!!!!! That is cool.
  4. A couple of months late with this one.
  5. Jake, How did you make it to level 3 in one day?
  6. I think my guy is like an automatic win for everyone. http://mattm413.mybrute.com
  7. How does this guy pull crap like this and the Megastrike sponsorship off. I swear if he ever makes it big I'm quiting fishing.
  8. I don't know if fish learn neccesarily, but b/c of the fishing pressure, imo, fish on Fork are considerablly harder to catch most times than they are on other lakes. I'm fortunate enough to get to fish Fork 20-30 times a year, and I'm always amazed how that lake can kick me right in the pants. There is also a great lesser known lake close to me called Ray Roberts. This lake doesn't see 10% of the pressure Fork does and I feel like 10 times the fisherman when I'm on it. The fish are just easier to catch.
  9. I only wanted to have this smiley in my post, but apparently when you try to do that you get a message saying only lines and space isn't considered a useful contribution. I got a kick out of that since I was trying to respond to Dave's name my pooping fish thread.
  10. Ok.....I'm picking up on the sarcasm. It's not the snow that is making me back out. I'm not going to fish in unsafe winds or lightning, and it appears that is what is forcasted for 2 of the 4 days I'm was planning on being there. If the forcast plays out as predicted I would not take my son out on the boat in those conditions. Therefore, I feel it is irresponsible to chance it with or without him. If that makes me a girly man or less of a fisherman so be it.
  11. We both hate to do it, but the trip will be 1800 miles for Brent and 1300 for me one way. We can't leave until Sunday and have to depart on Friday that leaves 4 days fishing. One of those days could be too windy to fish safely and another has lightning in the forcast. Thats a long drive, in tight times, with the possibility of fishing two days. We are trying to work everything out with Cart. We aren't just throwing him out on his butt b/c we realize what a bind were putting him in. Were making ever effort to handle the situation fairly and I believe Cart feels the same. I have greatly appreciated his understanding in the matter. If someone that is tripling up on a room and is sleeping on the floor wants a bed Cart has one. You would really be helping me and Brent from *** out by taking him up on the offer to move up off the floor. Sorry everyone. I was really looking forward to this, and it is killing me to miss it.
  12. Great bait t-rig. I like to throw them weightless. If you like those you might also google Hag's Tornado. Its a ring bait with a different profile but has a little air chamber in the back for a rattle that makes the tail float up. Really cool bait. They make a 5" and a 8". The 8" is a monster huge profile and will almost float a 5/0 hook.
  13. Fortunately I don't have that problem.
  14. Bassn if you believe that big fish typically spawn later or earlier than the majority of fish than the answer is true. If you think they spawn with everyone else or there is no correlation than then answer is false. I know your from Florida but lets not turn this into a hanging chad stlye ballot.
  15. Lol....I don't mean to pick on Bassn and Cj but by their answer for #10 they don't have a lot of experience with true or false q's.
  16. I don't claim to be a bed fishing expert so like Cj I will be suprised if I do well 1)T 2)d 3)F 4)t 5)f 6)t 7)t 8)C 9)d 10)T
  17. I think it would be a great hire, but remember how excited you were when they hired Gillespie. I remember a certain avatar. I thought he would be great too. You might need to temper your expectations. I read something in the paper to the effect of, don't quote me on actual numbers, that Rupp(sp) won 5 titles in his 30 years and KY has won 3 in the 20 since him, and one of them came from the guy you fired.
  18. 12lb cxx for pulling stumps up that are already uprooted. 15 when you have to uproot them up yourself.
  19. 54 bass is nice, but I love it when my son looks like that when I get home.
  20. Nice fish. My fishing pants get excited when its raining out.
  21. Wow....first negatives i've heard on the E's. I was beginning to wonder if they had in fact caught up with the Revo's.
  22. I agree with J Francho about the nose hook thing, but who knows. Your hook size was probably fine. What I have found is you really have to drill the fish with this type bait. Also I've had fish hit the bait 3 times before I set the hook. They rarely get it good the first time. Don't set on the bump, but set when you first feel your rod begin to load. Hookups will improve.
  23. RW, I'm not sure if I or Cart ever got back to you, but I would appreciate use of your air matress if you still don't mind. Matt
