  1. Anytime of the year. 70-75 degrees wind 8-10 with a mist or drizzle and the fish in 15' or less. Don't know that I've ever not loaded the boat in these conditions.
  2. H2O square billed crank.
  3. Sorry to hear it didn't work out. You are a bigger man than me for giving him a shot. I will begin buying your products again.
  4. It was the only one I caught, but at least she was a little heavy. 6lbs 12 oz. Still waiting on my monster.
  5. I hope i'm not over simplifying this, but if you feel the bait works best when worked fast save it for when the fish want it that way.
  6. Even though I'm not a memeber of the Shimano posse, and feel they are missng the boat on Revo's, I will admit they are pretty fair about calling a spade a spade. I haven't heard many of them exclaim the greatness of the Cruxis or even the D series. I'm not even saying the D's are that bad, but I will argue to the day that I die that they are even in the same ballpark as the SX's and STX's. They do seem to have a lot of the ground made up with the E's.
  7. I think they do a pretty good job of remaining objective. I've seen them quite a few times call expensive items crap in multiple aspects. I'm sure they have done extensive research that shows which reviews get the most views. If that research bares out the fact that higher end stuff attracts more interest than so be it. In fact, I can see where it would. If I'm considering purchasing a 2 dollar loaf of bread at Wal-Mart to eat P&J sandwiches on I don't need a review to make me feel comfortable. However, if I'm at Central Market and see a 12 dollar loaf of bread that has 47 multi-grains, supposedly raises my IQ by 11 points and at the same time brings out the subtle flavors of a ribeye an informative review might help me pull the trigger.
  8. Thanks for working on this Mike. I haven't offered my boat up to anyone b/c I thought it would be decided once we got there. If anyone would like to fish with Brent and I we can handle one more a day no problem. If I don't schedule anything before I will just help out whoever once we get there.
  9. Super different. If you have the extra cash buy the Citica. The Citica is just much more of a solid reel. I have a Cruxis and haven't had any problems, but theres a lot of plastic on it.
  10. Were in the 40 something days now. It seems far enough away as it is. Quit adding time to it.
  11. Nice carp. I was nervous about opening this thread at work ;D.
  12. The guys scales must of been a little off. I heard official weight is 15 even.
  13. Go to Fork. Its the lake I go to this time of year and I'm 45 minutes to an hour away from Dallas. Never gauged it from Dallas on my way through, but I'm guessing that your only talking an hour 15-30 minutes. If you find the fish its well worth it.
  14. It's amazing how that Father, son and his buddy are tearing the lake up.
  15. Yeah. I guess so. Nice fish.
  16. I can't believe nobody has pointed out my first thought. Mattlures doesn't make crankbaits to my knowledge. If his baits are all swimbaits like I think good luck finding a better bargain. They look ultrarealitic b/c they are swimbaits unless I've completly missed something.
  17. No doubt about it, its a lake. Sorry, what were you looking for?
  18. Its 151 or 153 on Dish Network.
  19. I know I am, but at your age the strange sensation is probably somthig else . I'm going to have to quit going to the site to see if my name has been added to the atendee list. Everytime I see its still 50 whatever days away I get depressed. It sound so much closer when you say April 5th.
  20. Dang it. I hate agreeing with Dave.
  21. April, 2nd last year, Bass Magic paddle tail tube. 9lbs 2oz. Sorry Forubizz.
  22. I can't say that I really prefer one over the other b/c 99% of the time I set it and leave it. The only slight edge goes to the magnetics b/c they are easier to change in the rare event I need to chage, and I don't have the access the inside of the reel to do it or worrying about the brake cap or sideplate falling in the water.
