  1. Shocked I'm saying this but I'm in. Brent and I are trying to work out driving together right now. If he ends up not being able to go all I will need is someone to split a room with and I'm there.
  2. Jigs and heavy t-rigs is how I would go. If fish were suspending or would come up to 6' or so I would also try square bill cranks.
  3. Wow. It tricked me. Either you guys are good or play with barbie dolls to much.
  4. How big do you think this one went. I'm going to guess 90% plus miss it by more than 3lbs.
  5. Floriday and Georgia come to mind. Texas can be cold in Nov-Jan.
  6. I'm not getting too excited just yet, but it looks like Brent and I may be able to add some Texas boys to the list. Heck who am I kidding. I'm so excited I'm about to pee my pants.
  7. Wow, and its only January. Looks like a good upcoming year for Conroe. I bet the guy that caught the record out at Choke recently is hot. I bet he had already sent in his info for a lifetime fishing license.
  8. Wasn't the junior record for Conroe just caught in the last month?
  9. He's right. Noway his misses is going to agree to anything of that sort.
  10. I hear this over and over. A weightless senko is not a light bait. Plus you would be hard pressed to find anything more aerodynamic and still catch fish. Any t-rig combo should be able to cast a senko great.
  11. They make technique specific rods so anglers will buy more rods. Even though a Carolina Rig rod may be perfect for that application it doesn't mean your worm and jig rod or flipping stick won't work for Carolina rigs if you generally do more t-rigging. If I was limited to 3 rods I would buy: 1)7' M, mod fast action for cranks and treble hook lures. If your not going to fish a lot of crankbaits you won't need this rod. 2)7' Mh X-fast for jigs, t'rigs, c-rigs, frogs and heavy spinnerbaits 3) 7' M fast for weightless plastics, light texas rigs and spinners. This rod can double in a pinch as your crankbait rod if you don't think there is need for a treble hook specific rod. Rod number 2 needs to be rated to accommodate at least a 3/4 oz lure, preferably 1oz, and rod number 3 needs to be rated down to 1/4 and up to 5/8oz to maximize your versatility.
  12. Not a problem. I'm in the housing industry and deal with this stuff on a day to day basis. Anything you think I might be able to help me with in your remodel project just give me a yell.
  13. Imo, the only difference is about 50 bucks. Seriously, as you said there are some small differences in the specs, but the 50 bones is the biggest one. I have a friend that has at least 20 SX's and STX's and fishes almost everyday. He says that the STX's seem to be a little less tempremental, but most experienced BC anglers can handle the SX with no problem. He's more saying that sometimes the STX's can be a little easier on the beginners. Other than that and 50 dollars he doesn't think there is much difference.
  14. Flech, Honestly I don't know which brands we were installing. We got away from them pretty quick. I do know that we weren't getting them from Home Depot or Lowe's. SRV, The gas ones seems to be more effcient/effective. Especially the newer ones. They have made some progress in the technology in the last couple of years. Any name brand should work. However, I feel as a whole they are dishonest/inaccurate on the true capabilities of these systems. I've heard too many folks say that they needed more than one for me to consider it. All I can say is that if I was building a home right now I wouldn't put it in mine. Plus, there is much better places to spend your money on energy effciency. I'm not bashing anyone that has them just my experiences. I've had people that installed gas units with no issues.
  15. You know your situation much better than I do, but the electric ones our company have installed have been a bust. In fact we no longer offer the electrical units for warranty reasons. Personally I would reconsder when gas was an option.
  16. Flech, Is it going to be a gas model?
  17. ^^^Why am I not eve a little shocked by that?
  18. My wife willingness to let me go has doubled in the last 2-3 days. By my guage were up to about 28% now. 72% more to go baby.
  19. Did anyone else hear this? I know nothing about this guy and have never listened to his music. I think I know why now. He sounded like the utlimate d-bag. He likes to refer to himself in 3rd person as much as Rickey Henderson. Except he refers to himself by his nickname. Did anyone else think he came across pretty pompous?
  20. I heard that I was next, and the powers that be thought it would be better to discontinue. ;D Is it sad that I agree?
  21. Its much easier to speed up. For this reason I avoid 7:1 reels like the plague. I have one or two but they are on t-rig reels where I move bait with the rod, and then burn the empty back bait as quickly as possible. I hate trying to fish a moving bait with a 7:1 reel.
  22. There is really never a time I don't flip or pitch. Favorite baits are *** ***, beaver style bait and a GYCB flapping hog.
  23. Fish fighting Illini I agree with your point but he actually lost his job for posting on his website that he disagreed with the school for issuing an apology for the win and thought there was nothing shameful about the victory.
