  1. Ok, another question. I've heard barges go down the lake often, and they throw a huge wake. What is the safest most effective way in dealing with the barges?
  2. Is there anywhere I can go to find out the moon phase on March 18th? If anyone wants to do the work for me they can just look and my feelings won't be hurt.
  3. If there was only two runners what did you want them to do. Elections are expensive and I would be mad if my county had another one. I know some of the people that didn't vote the first time might come out the next time, but imo if they didn't bother to be there the first time oh well.
  4. I think Ike pulled it out. If so he's going to go bonkers at the weigh in .
  5. Lets go Ike. The 4 1/2 isn't part of the 51 15 bag.
  6. Ike just caught a 4 and a half pounder in his last few minutes of fishing. Giving him a cushion over Skeet. Skeet still has a about an hour to cull though. If Skeet can't put a couple of 4 lbers in the boat watch out for the next senko, chatterbait and sexy shad craze all rolled into one. I'm glad I talked myself into getting 12 of these 3 or 4 days ago. Might be able to make a little money.
  7. You could buy two and just break the light in one of them. Then you have the exact same bait.
  8. I guess Glenn, Cigarlove and I are the ony one that keep tabs of the Classic. He's trying to say that almost all the Pro's will admit KVD is the best, but he only managed 4lbs 4oz the first day on the Red.
  9. Toolpush, In all due respcet what you said makes very little sense. We recently had an election, that most likely, had a winner that recieved the minority of the popular vote. In a Presidential election you have to look at the percentages. So many more people vote in a Presidential election that it is very unlikley that it will ever come down to 1 vote. However, it is very possible that the margin of victory in a Presidential election could be very similar to a >3200 person election that is won by one vote. Please don't think your vote counts regardless of which party you choose to vote for.
  10. Until thing are absolutely irreparable please read Burley's advice over and over.
  11. Man I'm sorry to hear that. Things are rarely as bad as they seem right after they happen so just hang in there. Even if I'm wrong then it's just not worth it anyways. Unfortunately we are not the funniest and best looking people ever. Neither are the people we choose to marry, but we do so b/c we love them. Unless you are Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie the grass is always going to look greener on the other side. Heck it probably does for them as well. Since I've fished with you I doubt that your wife married you b/c she thought you were the best looking or funniest dude in the world. No offense. Just wait it out, and do your part. My guess is that at the very most you have a kindergarten crush on our hands, and its probably less than that. If you think a couple of days at a gorgeous lake will help you know where a Bass Cat is that you are welcome to is.
  12. The Revo S or citica. Both great reels.
  13. Lay downs and stumps would work. Guess I'll hope for flood conditions.
  14. Today I was thinking about my fishing the last 3 years and realized all the best lakes here are loaded with timber. Consequently, 95+% of my fishing during that time has been pitching timber or banging square billed cranks. Is there standing timber in Ky, and if so are they probuctive areas? I only ask b/c a buddy of mine turned me on to a ditch area that was out from some timber on Fork the other day. I found it difficult to slow down enough to fish it correctly since I was so used to going from one piece of cover to another.
  15. I thought it was a gimmick until Senko came out in support. I'm even more convinced after Ike's and Duckett's showing. They are the only two guys in the tournament sponsored by them and look where they are.
  16. I can't honestly answer the question, but the guide I go with does it constantly when the bait is to far to reel down to. He or I haven't had any problems with reels. I get my reels serviced every year though. Also I've never sent or seen a reel sent down after the bait that didn't free the lure. So lets say I send a Revo SX down after a lure 50 times(very realistic #) after a cheapo 3 dollar crank before the reel gives out. I've saved 150.00 in lures and that will buy a Revo SX all day. Obvioulsy, if your saving Lucky Crafts or Sebiles the techniques is going to pay for itself quickly.

  18. If its illegal to drink beer in a dry county they might as well have the sheriff parked at the marina when I get there.
  19. Just throw them it will happen. Came on a Sexy Shad CRM. Pretty sure I sent you that color and size.
  20. Getting hung up is just part of it. Learn the bow and arrow technique for loosening snags and you'll find yourself getting more of them back. On Tom Redington's site he has a good video on techniques for getting snagged baits back.
  21. I've fished their lipless cranks and they aren't bad. I like the profile of them.
  22. I hate calling things fake, but I don't know how that can be possible.
  23. I'll take it. A little late for my Fork trip, but I'll be going the next week.
  24. Hands down the three best on the market are *** version of the beaver, Alurrings ***(my vote for number one), and the CYCB Flappin Hog. *** *** is a copy of the brush hog with slightly longe tails and an awesome garlic scent at a fraction of the cost. Great bait.
  25. The pause after contact imitates a scared baitfish that has ran into something and injured itself. For me a very short pause works best so the fish doesn't get a good look at it. Its a reaction strike. Most of the time the noise from the crash gets the fish looking. A short pause gives it another splint second to find the source of the noise, but not study the bait.
