  1. I have a 50mg on my 7'3 MH carrot stix at the moment. It mostly gets used for jigs but it'll throw a senko a mile.
  2. It doesn't matter that much to me. That being said my Core and Carrot Stix is awesome looking. I would have to agree that the curado E and carrot stix wouldn't look as good together.
  3. I would suggest getting a couple of 6'6 medium/fast spinning rods with a 2500 series reel. Spool them with 8# mono and get to it. Buy some worms, topwater, spinnerbaits, crankbaits and your ready to go. If you give a price range you will get more specific examples of rods and reels. BTW Welcome to the site.
  4. Stay at Horse Creek Marina in Celina TN, its $35 a night for a motel room and Thomas will take care of any of your needs. The jerkbait and grub bite should be in full swing by next month. DON'T throw a sebile magic swimmer unless you want your arm broken either.
  5. What baits should I be throwing? Plastics, Jigs, Cranks, spinnerbaits? help me out. I am going to try to rent a boat there if one is available.
  6. ok thanks guys
  7. I will be visiting some friends in Orlando next week, and was thinking about doing some fishing. I don't want to pay for a guide, so if someone could give me a couple place I could hit from the bank I would really appreciate it. I will only have one rod with me a 7'3 MH carrot stix w/ a Core and 50#braid. Also let me know what baits I should bring. Oh and if anyone would be willing to let me fish out of their back seat I would be willing to give you some gas money.
  8. Well, last weekend I only lost about $10 worth of baits, but I lost $150 Oakleys to the depths, My $200 Cell phone got soaked and is now useless. Oh and a $20 hat went overboard too. I think I lost my mind too, for fishing in the freezing cold and rain/snow mix. I can't put a price on that though.
  9. WOW thats a big brown fish. What lake did it come from? I hope he threw it back. Some guy at Dale Hollow caught a 9# smallie and ate it. What a waste.
  10. X3 Either is a great rod. I have the 6'8 and it works great for #5 shad raps. I caught 30 bass on that rod yesterday with a #5. Oh yeah I've got a new stradic on it too, you will really love it.

    It was fun for sure.
  12. Got to fish Priest this morning til about noon with my buddy Hunter. We killed them all morning on a shad rap. Unfortunately, none of them were worth the time to take a picture of. We ended up with 29 LMB and 1 Spot (which was the biggest all day about 2#) 10 white bass, 1 Hybrid and two slab crappie. The water is pushing 60 from Fate Sanders back towards the 840 bridge. All fish were caught in less than 5' on mud/gravel banks.
  13. Thanks for the help. Does the cabelas guidewear come with a zip in liner like the 100mph suit?
  14. weightless t-rig, shakey head, or on an ikey head. I think I will try it on a c-rig this year too.
  15. After fishing in the pouring rain and frigid temperatures last weekend, I've realized that my Columbia jacket isn't as waterproof as they claim. So it's time to look into better rain gear. I've been looking at BPS and Cabelas brand. I really like the 100mph suit from BPS but can't really justify paying that much right now, so I'm leaning towards the Pro Qualifier series. Any one got any suggestions or another brand I may have missed.
  16. Curado 200dhsv is what I have now. I use it for almost everything.
  17. Sufix, best you can buy!
  18. I throw lipless cranks more when it's windy or when bass are schooling up on baitfish. Also I use them more in the spring to early summer. Lipped crankbaits are a summer and fall bait for me. And occasionally in the winter too.
  19. Worth every penny! I did get some at academy for $2 though. ;D
  20. Thank you Randall that article was very informative and helped me out a lot. I will be using the F&F this weekend at Dale Hollow, hopefully I will have some good pictures to show all the F&F haters.
  21. The BPS in Nashville has the spro BBZ-1 swimbaits. The price is much higher than any where else I've seen too $24.99. BTW I did the same thing with the pin to my tru-life swimbait and it doesn't want to swim right now.
  22. well please enlighten me thats all I ever wanted.
  23. Well I voted for the MG, mostly because it's on clearance.
  24. That's crazy let the man eat. I would rather see him try to catch a meal than beg for change on the sidewalk.
