I've had 2 pairs of Oakley Five's the first pair my dog ate, and the second pair blew out of the boat running across the lake. Right now, i've just got some cheap $30 polarized my ex-gf got me at the beach. They are ok but no where near as good as the Oakley's. As soon as I start my new job I will have a new pair.

Same kind of thing happened to me. I was fishing my friends private neighborhood lake with his permission. I was fishing the opposite end of the lake from his house with a jerkbait, I snagged it on a submerged log the I always find fish on. Now this was in late January or early February, I go back in April and find my bait lodged in the mud under his boat on his property. I was excited even though it wasn't anything special like a LC.

My guest rigs are: Shimano Symetre 2500 on a 7' Fenwick Venture rod (I found at the bottom of a river) w/ 8# Hybrid Diawa Capricorn 100 XTC on a 6' MH lightning rod w/ 12# sufix seige. I only let my partner use my rigs because he knows how to use them and he lets me use his.

Titans 10-6 With the absence of Albery Haynesworth in the middle the defense does not look as fierce as last year. In the preseason games opponents seemed to run up the middle with little problem. Hopefully someone will step up.

It's not that she totally hated fishing she would go with me. She would just sit in the boat and read. Oh well I'll stick to fishing for a while. She even signed up on BR to check-up on me!

Next years roadtrip has crossed my mind. I've never seen a man chugging boxed wine straight from the tap.... Only my sister or my ex!

Well me and my GF of 3 yrs broke it off recently. Guess it's time to focus on my true love... Fishin'! I met a local pro at the dock about a year ago, he told me if I really wanted to live the dream lose the woman if she's not 100% supportive! Maybe he's right. Only time will tell. Atleast, I've got BR to help me out.

I've never tried it but it sounds like a good idea. I think wacky rigged would be better than t-rigged.

I have a few of 'em but my booyah's out produce them 3-1. Not sure why sometimes I use both same color and everything and the booyah still catch more fish.

I was talking about hard baits like pointers and rogues. I will mainly be fishing points and humps. How do you fish them on points? Do you stay deep and cast shallow? My favorite point I fish is long and shallow with a ledge on each side. One side drops into a creek channel and the other drops into the river channel. I was thinking about putting the boat in the channel and casting on top of the point bringing it over the ledge?

Does anyone throw jerkbaits in the summer? Or do you mainly use them in winter/ spring? I thought a fast erratic retrieve may turn them on tomorrow morning.

I'm not trying to hijack your thread but what kind of setup are you using for these spoons. I've been experimenting with spoons on ledges this year with limited success. I have been using a 7' MH/F Crucial with a Curado 200D and 12# flouro. The rod is rated up to 1oz, do I need something stronger or something with a moderate fast action because of the treble hook?

I am willing to share most of spots with anyone who wants to talk. Generally, if I share so will they. However I only share really good holes with my partner. I have spots on every lake I go to that produce good limits. Those are the ones I share. Then I have the spots where I go to add weight. Those are kept between me and my buddy.

Below Old Hick or Percy Priest would be the only ones I know of that are mostly bass. The others that I think of are mainly trout streams.

Ok well I will let him know he can get somewhere between $75-140 for it. It is a hot reel even by todays standards. He has it on a carrot stix, the Red and Orange look pretty sweet.

I don't think he wants to sell it but his wife won't let him upgrade until he thins out some gear first. I would buy it from him it's an awesome reel. But my problem is the same as his.... it's just too big for my hands. He told me he called the shimano parts dealer in Alabama looking for spare parts but they don't carry them anymore. The lady he spoke to was amazed he had one and offered to buy it. She said she saw one for sale on ebay a long time ago that sold for a couple hundred dollars.
