Line for Core 100MGFV
I've used 30 and 50# braid as well as 12 and 15# Flouro. The 15 and 50# was too strong for me. The braid does come off the spool faster so it takes a little practice to get used to it. The water around Nashville is fairly clear for I stayed with the Flouro... You can always tie a flouro leader but I found it to a P.I.T.A. :

symetre 2500fi
I've had this reel for about 2 yrs now and have used it very little. I really like it but my 2 stradics see most of the action. It pretty much just sit all season until winter rolls around and I use it on my float and fly rod. Anyway, I hate the handle! It feels cheap and I can't stand the hard plastic knob. Is there an upgrade for this to something like the stradics have? You know more soft and rubbery?

dale hollow
F&F hasn't really kicked in yet. The jig is the way to go right now. After these frigid temps though The Fly should be on for sure.

float'n'fly rod
I've got the 9'6 BPS microlite as well. It does just fine for $50. I was at BPS the other day and saw the G loomis F&F rod. I see no point in having one of those. You don't need a sensitive rod to watch a bobber go down. And it was 1 piece rod. It wouldnt even fit in the bed of my truck.

Titans vs. Chargers
Yup... That Cali guy sure did learn what a good ole TN @rse whoopin was.

Titans vs. Chargers
Well it was not! The titans got their butts kicked. It was pathetic but atleast the tickets were free. It was a great game for the chargers fans. For most of them except for the one sitting in my section. He started spouting off and someone threw him down 3 rows of seats. They were both escorted out!

Titans vs. Chargers
Lets go Titans! I think it's about time to end the chargers 17-0 december record under Phillip Rivers. I'm off to go tailgating now! Chris Johnson is gonna run all over the bolts!

best garlic scent attractant that last longer ?
Punisher makes a scent called fish dope. I use it on my flies when I am fishing the float and fly in the winter. I have flies in my box that still have it on them from last year. It;s not a spray it has petroleum jelly feel too it. It works good and last a loooooonnnnngggg time.

Ceramic hybrid bearings
I'm thinking about buying some ABEC 7 ceramic hybrid bearings for my Core 100mg and Chronarch 50mg. What kind of improvements would I see over the stock bearings? I've heard you don't have to lube ceramic bearings is that true? If you should lube them would the shimano Oil be OK? Should I use something else? Like Hot Sauce....LOL J/k! Help me please!

Good present?
I think that would make a great gift. It would give him something to do during the winter months when he may not be able to fish as much. A gift card to Tackle warehouse is good too but if I were him I would rather have the spinnerbait kit.

Shimano Forum
That is a shame. I will still buy shimano products but the extra info Dan provided was great and will be missed. Thanks again Dan!

Dale Hollo Lake
Check out smalljaw.com it's all about Dale Hollow! The Billy Westmoreland tournament is this weekend I sure wish I could fish it but I've got a wedding to go to. The last time I was there was around the first of Nov and the fishing was horrible. Bluebird skies and water in the high 60's still made it difficult. We did manage a couple smallies but it was tough. The water is perfect for the jig right now from what I heard. Even heard a few fish being caught on the ole fly. I can't wait for that!

Lowrider vs. Crucial vs. Compre
I have the 7ft MH crucial its a great rod for throwing jigs in open water.

SI: Vince Young
I'm still not sold on VY but with the defense healthy again and Johnson to hand off to, they are a totally different team. They could have been better than 0-6 with Collins but the recievers were blatantly dropping passes! IMO

Chronarch 50mg for cranking
I used the 300's yesterday and they were fine on the 50mg. I did manage one smallie about 12" with the bandit. Sunny days at the hollow arent good cranking days. The jigs was the weapon of choice yesterday.

Chronarch 50mg for cranking
Bronzefly, How does it handle Bandit 300's? With this cold snap today I think it may move them out a little bit by tomorrow.
-
Chronarch 50mg for cranking
yeah I'm only gonna throwing cranks that go less than 12 ft.

Question about "One Knock" lipless or trap baits
X2 These baits have caught me more bass over 5# than any other bait in my box!

Chronarch 50mg for cranking
I know the 50mg was designed for throwing small baits and finesse fishing. So I thought it may be good for small cranks/jerkbaits. I had one just sitting around collecting dust so I put it on a 6'6 crucial M/MF crankbait rod. It feels awesome! I am gonna try it out Sunday at dale hollow cause them smallies are supposedly hitting those bandit 200's real well. Anyone else use a 50mg for cranking? How do you like it?

BPS Brand suggestions.....
The only BPS branded item I've bought was the XPS flourocarbon. I havent been able to use it yet but it will be put to the test Sunday.

Dale Hollow TN
Definately check out Smalljaw.com they will have the best info about the Hollow. I havent got to fish it since May, but I know the night bite is still best. Be careful if you go out at night, when the sun goes down there you can barely see your hand in front of your face. Maybe, this cooler weather will get those big brown fish moving shallow. Good luck they call it Dale Humble for a reason.
