Whats Wrong with this Fish?
that is indeed a great post micro, thank you. do you think the funky green color of this water is an indicator of low oxygen levels? cuz it seems every pond i fish in that has this funky green color to is, the fishing really sucks! and i was beginning to think it may be because of low oxygen. also, not sure if i mentioned this before, but i read in the local news paper that this lake experienced an algae bloom which depleted oxygen and killed off a whole lot of shad and bluegills. that would explain it :

Some Fossils
Here are a bunch of fossils i found in my creek a few years back: Any ideas on what that last one is? it appears to be a section of a creek bed. i am drawing this conclusion due to the fact that it is obviously preserved mud of some sort, and there are ripples in it, and there is an impression of some kind of oval shaped prehistoric critter with ridges on it in the lower right (trilobite maybe?) Anyway, i will be going back to the creek tomorrow to see if i can get anything better

Catching Pickerel on Pickerel Lures
think i would be successful in catching some large pickerel by using lures that imitate little pickerel? do they eat their young? also, if there is a good pickerel population in a pond, do you think that i could catch some bass on a bait that imitates a little pickerel?

Help: Spider Identification
doesnt quite look like a brown recluse to me. but my 9th grade engineering teacher got bit by one on his thumb about 3/4 the way through the school year. he got big while he was in his bed, and boy his hand swelled up sooooooo big it looked like someone stuffed a tennis ball under the skin in his hand. half of his hand was black too. it was very nasty. he said it was the worst pain he has felt. i always thought that Black Widows were the most venomous spider in North America? i know there are quite a few fatalities from black widows.

Storm swimbaits?
only storm swimbait i will use is the kickin minnow, but those are very fragile and will tear up after a few good fish due to the thin segments. but they are cheap like 2 or 3 dollars each and they work well. the standard wild eye swimbaits that im assuming you're talking about are pretty bad though.

It's my turn...Starting first Swimbait. (Update: Video Added)
look nice! that one should catch some fish for sure. i used to have the same problem with the epoxy not going on smoothly. here is a tip that i found that has worked pretty good for me: thin your epoxy with denatured alcohol until it is a viscosity that is easy to brush, like the thickness of acrylic paint. you will find that it brushes on much smoother, and it is much easier to completely cover the lure so there are no little missed spots like you have here. and it will flow out nicer too. i also think that thinned epoxy is a bit more glossy than straight epoxy, but im not sure let us know when you catch some fish on that!

Looking for a clear coat.
woops, i read the original post wrong. i thought you siad that you wanted to airbrush a clear coat on, but now i just realized that you want to put a clear coat over airbrushed paint. in that case, still use devcon, but dont thin it at much. Big M is right, thinning weakens it. unthinned devcon is the strongest possible. i still like to thin mine some though, because thinning it makes it SO MUCH easier to brush on. i find it very difficult to evenly brush on unthinned devcon. i also find that thinned devcon gives a shinier coat.
